Wu-Tang New Album On The Way

Some diehard Wu-Tang Clan fans almost pooped their pants last night. We’re sure of it. At some point last night the legendary group made an announcement on their Facebook page that tens of thousands of hip-hop heads have been waiting to hear for years. “New WU TANG CLAN Album coming soon,” read the update. As of now, 22,924 people “liked” the status, which means a whole lot of people want some new Wu in their life. Wu-Tang forever.

The long-time-coming announcement is on the cusp of the 20th anniversary for the group’s debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) . The leader of the Wu, RZA, has been in the spotlight more than usual due to his new film The Man with the Iron Fists . Kanye West’s “White Dress” from the movie’s soundtrack has created some buzz surrounding the group’s leader too. When RZA chatted with Rolling Stone he spoke of the possibility of a reunion. “If the Wu-Tang Clan ever wanna come back together – and next year will be our 20th year anniversary – I’d love for it to be under my leadership and guidance, because I think I’ve grown so much as a man and as an artist that I would know how to drive the ship to the proper location,” he told the magazine. The thought of Wu-Tang doing an album (and ohmygosh a tour!) is enough to send any lover of hip-hop to the store for Depends.
