New York, NY (December 6, 2012) – MTV and Bruno Mars are teaming up for a multiscreen celebration of his new album, Unorthodox Jukebox, with two special performances. To celebrate the album launch day, Mars will perform his smash hit “Locked Out of Heaven” on MTV on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:55pm ET. The following day, will see Mars performing, “Young Girls” followed by an in-depth interview with MTV News’ Sway during “The Big & Best of 2012: A Year End Celebration Presented by T-Mobile.”

MIGUEL TO PERFORM DURING VIACOM’S “BIG & BEST OF 2012” LIVESTREAM
New York, NY (December XX, 2011) – Viacom today announced that 5 time Grammy nominated, Bystorm/RCA Recording Miguel (Miguel.MTV.com) is slated to perform during “The Big & Best of 2012: A Year End Celebration Presented by T-Mobile,” an unprecedented, cross-network, eight hour digital livestream event that will highlight the music, personalities and pop culture moments that defined the past year. The livestream will kickoff on 12/12/12 at 12 PM EST and be hosted here. The event will play out across Viacom’s digital properties including MTV.com, VH1.com, CMT.com and ComedyCentral.com, and will include eight hours of original programming and highlights spanning MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, CMT and MTV2.
Miguel will perform two of his biggest hits “Adorn,” which was just nominated for The Grammy’s Song of the Year and “Do You,” as well as the fan-favorite “The Thrill” all from his album Kaleidoscope Dream, which recently debuted at #1 on the Billboard R&B album chart. He is currently joining Trey Songz on a tour presented by MTV Jams.

“The Big & Best of 2012: A Year End Celebration Presented by T-Mobile” will be hosted by MTV News’ Sway Calloway, VH1’s Carrie Keagan and CMT’s Kourtney Hansen and will broadcast live from MTV’s famous Times Square studio and on location in music venues in New York City, Boston and Nashville. The live event will consist of live new episodes of Viacom’s signature music and pop culture series and franchises including Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, MTV2’s Guy Code, VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live and You Oughta Know, MTV News’ RapFix Live and After Hours, MTV Hive’s Live in Boston and MTV Buzzworthy and CMT’s Live in Nashville, Live@CMT and Concrete Country.
The event will also include interactive challenges where fan armies will battle it out to be named Last Fans Standing, The Best Fans of The Year. Fans can go to MTV’s Facebook page now to vote among the 16 artists in the running and learn how to compete in a series of social media challenges during the livestream. The top 7 fan armies who earn the most points during the first Facebook-based challenge will advance and then go head-to-head during the livestream where one artist will emerge victorious.
