Talks like she has a fifth grade education, eh, Wendy Williams? It must suck to make an inflammatory crude statement about Beyonce to find out days later she’s signed a $50 million contract with Pepsi. Talk about having to eat one’s words.
Beyonce was named the brand’s ambassador for a multi-year deal that will coincide with the release of her fifth album in 2013. But unlike past campaigns the deal reaches beyond the scope of product promotion. According to the New York Times, the collaboration between Queen Bey and the beverage company will include the usual billboards and commercials, but it’s also a hybrid project that includes a multi-million dollar fund to support her creative endeavors. In a statement Beyonce said, “Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve. As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
