Rick Ross Admits He Tried Choking Young Jeezy Backstage At The BET Awards

Rick Ross is still out here waving his gangsta flag as if his former correctional officer status isn’t widely known. But ok, bawse. In an interview with Florida’s 99 Jamz, Ross used his promo time to clear up recent rumors claiming he canceled tour dates due to gang related threats. According to the MMG leader, no one puts fear in his heart. He says his tour was canceled due to a promoter’s lack of communication.

As far as the incident backstage at the BET Awards between Ross’s camp and Jeezy‘s, Ross admitted he tried to choke Jeezy, but it wasn’t personal. Choking someone seems about as personal as it can get, but not in the world of Mr. Dade County. “This is nothing personal to me. At the BET Awards, it basically boiled down to me running across Young Jeezy, he had five security guards in front of him, five policeman behind him. When we crossed paths, I said what’s up. As soon as he said what’s up, I tried to choke him,” he told the radio host.

He also wants all who are listening to know, if he sees his longtime rival 50 Cent, choking him is an option too. We’re all about a good rap battle or diss record, but as some point, doesn’t hip-hop need to grow up?
