Bruno Mars Performs Touching Newton, CT Tribute On Ellen

by

“Right now we need a lot of love out there right now,” said Ellen. Following Thursday’s tragic Newton, CT mass shooting, celebrities have voiced their condolences to the families of the victims. Ellen chose to start her show off a little different today in honor of the 27 people killed.

Bruno Mars is full of love. From his well received Doo Wops & Hooligans LP he opened the show with “Count On Me,” his ode to being there for a friend. Bruno plays the ukulele while singing to minimalist instrumentation as back up. “You can count on me like 1 2 3/I’ll be there/And I know when I need it I can count on you like 4 3 2/You’ll be there/Cause that’s what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah,” he sings. A sweet song to honor the victim’s memories.
