Last Lap: Jon Bon Jovi Calls Out Justin Bieber
Eminem takes on Facebook, more performers are announced for the CMT Awards, and EDM producers embrace Daft Punk‘s latest album.
- Justin Bieber just got a bit of a verbal smackdown from Jon Bon Jovi. The rock legend was asked about one of Bieber’s London concerts, where the pop singer was booed for being two hours late. Bon Jovi said such a move was disrespectful to fans and called the Biebs an a—hole. Dang, Justin Bieber doesn’t have a friend in the world. [The Superficial]
- Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban are just two of the performers added to the roster of stars appearing at the CMT Awards. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite nominees and tune in to see who wins big on June 5 at 8 p.m. ET. [CMT]
- Eminem’s publishing company is suing Facebook for copyright infringement. For an ad promoting the social media company’s Home app, Mark Zuckerberg apparently used a track similar to a composition Slim Shady created with Detroit rap group D12. Zuck and his team then altered the track, which Em’s camp said they didn’t have permission to do. This might get ugly, folks. [AllHipHop]
- Though Daft Punk admit their LP, Random Access Memories, is a departure from their electronic sound, contemporary EDM producers are loving it. Find out more about Porter Robinson’s and Steve Aoki’s thoughts on the album while they appeared at the Hangout Music Fest. [MTV]
