KISS mastermind Gene Simmons is not only a founding member of one of the most successful rock bands of all-time, but he’s also the star of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, a reality TV show on A&E that has been on the air since 2006. Starring alongside him on that program is Sophie Tweed Simmons, his daughter with longtime ladyfriend (and now wife!) Shannon Tweed. It’s unclear whether Sophie’s recent excursion to the sandy beaches of Maui was for a future episode of Family Jewels, but either way, cameras materialized while she was playing in the surf with her friends.
According to Sophie’s Instagram, she made the trip to Maui with her friends Rachel Kove (daughter of Martin Kove, who played the leader of the evil Cobra Chai dojo in the original Karate Kid), Canadian snowboarder Breanna Strangeland, and a dude named Christopher James, who is seen in some of these photos snuggling up to Sophie in the surf. As we type this post, the weather in New York City is a brisk 69 degrees, so color us jealous of this posse’s adventures on the glorious shores of Maui.
