VIDEO PREMIERE: Delta Rae, “If I Loved You”

by (@unclegrambo)

In the entire history of the You Oughta Know franchise, Delta Rae have emerged as one of our favorite alums. Their debut LP, Carry The Fire, dropped in June of 2012 and we’re still spinning it on the reg. Their chief strength as a group is their versatility, as evidenced by their brand new video for “If I Loved You,” which showcases the powerhouse vocals of Elizabeth Hopkins.

So often in music, women seem to end up on the wrong side of heartbreak. What we love about this song, though, is how it flips the script on that tired set of circumstances and puts the female in the power position. The whole “It’s not you, it’s me!” conversation has never sounded so tantalizing as when it’s being delivered by Miss @Batsparkles herself.
