Lorde will be one of the featured acts who will be performing live at the first ever You Oughta Know In Concert, which will be livestreaming exclusively on on Monday, November 11, and then airing again in glorious HD on VH1 on Thursday, November 21. Lorde joined our You Oughta Know family in September of this year, and promptly went on to hit #1 on the pop charts all over the world with her massive smash, “Royals,” trumping establishment pop stars like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga along the way.

When we sat down with Lorde, we were surprised to learn about the unlikely inspiration for this equally unlikely hit. “I had this image from the National Geographic of this dude just signing baseballs,” Lorde explained. “He was a baseball player and his shirt said, ‘Royals.’” Lorde was so taken by the image and the word that she penned the song around that idea. ”It was just that word. It’s really cool.”

Lorde will be performing tracks from her debut album Pure Heroine, which debuted at #2 on the charts when it was released in September, and will be joined by the likes of Ed Sheeran, The Lumineers, HAIM, Matt Nathanson, Johnnyswim, Emeli Sande & more.

You Oughta Know In Concert will be livestreaming on this Monday, November 11 beginning at 8PM/5PT. No tickets for this event will be on sale to the general public, but you can be entered to win tickets just by posting to Instagram!
