Lorde has had a big year. The 17-year-old New Zealander blasted onto the charts with “Royals” and she recently stole the spotlight during VH1’s You Oughta Know In Concert special with a special performance that included a joint cover of Sheryl Crow’s “Strong Enough” with the lovely ladies of HAIM, as well as cuts from her debut album, Pure Heroine. In addition to her chart-topper and “Team,” Lorde performed “Buzzcut Season,” a track that we are hoping becomes her third single.
Additionally, diehard fans were greeted with a special performance of “Bravado,” the lead track from her 2012 EP, The Love Club. The darker song played well with fans who were entranced by her “ohhhos.”
Lorde was joined on stage by a number of YOK alums, including performances from HAIM, The Lumineers, Emeli Sande,Matt Nathanson, JOHNNYSWIM and more. The full concert airs this Thursday, November 21, at 9/8C only on VH1.
Until then, check out pictures of Lorde on and back stage at the YOK concert.
