The rumors were true. OutKast is performing at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, sharing the stage for the first time since 2004. That’s definitely cooler than a polar bear’s toenails.
Talk of a live reunion began in November, after continuous pleas from diehard fans for nearly a decade. Coachella confirmed OutKast’s headlining Friday night set on Twitter Wendesday, along with a stacked roster of performers for the April festival. Moments later, Big Boi offered up his official cosign:
Now you know !!! Stay tuned #Outkast ????

Typically a tough crowd to win over, the Internet erupted in pure joy following the release, offering up food, love and pretty much their first born for tickets to the highly-anticipated show. Check out some of the most excited reactions in the gallery above, and feel free to check on any of these individuals should you happen to know them IRL.
Over the years many have tried to attach some sort of drama to Andre 3000 and Big Boi‘s relationship–anything that could possibly explain their extended hiatus. But the powers that be have repeatedly told us that all is well and clarified that any remixes or studio time don’t necessarily mean future OutKast collaborations. Sharing the stage in front of thousands of shirtless, sweaty music lovers is a good sign, though. Their Coachella dates (April 11 and 18) fall nearly 20 years to the day of the release of debut album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, so we expect a lot of reminiscing about the music that first got you hooked on these two inventive dudes from the A. Tickets for the annual desert concert go on sale Friday, January 10 at 1 pm ET/10 am PT. We’re still months away from the show, so take this time to reacquaint yourselves with the music of Three Stacks and Sir Luscious Leftfoot by watching their performance at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards. Do you think either one keeps in touch with Gwyneth?
