Well, here’s something you don’t hear every day! Former Talking Heads front-man David Byrne attended a a concert and rally for Content Creators Coalition in New York City last night, where he performed an epic rendition of Biz Markie’s hip hop classic “Just A Friend.” Held at the legendary Greenwich Village venue Le Poisson Rouge, the show was sought to raise awareness for a proposed terrestrial radio performance royalty. The policy would allow not only composers but also the singers and performers to receive a royalty whenever their song is played on the radio.
