There’s nothing like a band’s very first performance. For many, it’s a distant memory when the band first came together to show exactly what it’s got. In some ways, its like losing one’s virginity – but less awkward. In Jack Antonoff’s case, it’s about getting another chance at the first very time. .Fun‘s lead guitarist is exploring a new persona and sound with his side project, Bleachers, which made its debut headlining Palladia’s EPIC. AWESOME. SHOWCASE. at this year’s South By Southwest. “Oh my god this is happening,” Antonoff said.

Of course, Bleachers were not the only band performing at the showcase. You Oughta Know artist Aloe Blacc, Sam Smith and Phantogram all joined Bleachers on stage. Talk about an epic show!

In case you missed it, fellow Palladia performer JOHNNYSWIM sat down with VH1 to talk about the keynote speech delivered by Antonoff’s girlfriend, Lena Dunham. “It stinks when you’re smart and witty and confident and people still don’t hear you and still don’t see you, but I think [Lena's] part of how that’s going to change,” Amanda said.
