We were never too sure about the whole concept of reincarnation, but this video might have sold us on it. It comes from Turlock, Calififornia, where 17-year-old Brett Nichols absolutely tore it up at his high school talent show with spot-on Michael Jackson dance moves that would have made the King of Pop proud!
Nichols flawlessly mimicked the late entertainer’s signature dance to 1983’s “Billie Jean,” nailing the leg pops, hip swivles, and -of COURSE- the famous Moonwalk. He even donned the single glove and fedora. Clearly, he was a crowd favorite, eliciting shrieks of delight from those in the audience.
The teen told local station News10 that he spent a great deal of time watching old clips of the superstar on YouTube, which lead him to develop his own smooth moves. “This is something that really inspires me, and then it was later I thought, ‘Why isn’t this something I can’t do?'” Screw that hologram from the Billboard Awards, we gotta book this dude on a world tour!
If he isn’t made Homecoming King (of Pop), we’re going to demand some answers. Make sure to watch the clip above (his segment starts at 1:11). Enjoy!
