We’re five days out and the VH1 DIVAS announcements keep flooding in! Newcomer British diva Paloma Faith has joined our growing list of performers set to take the stage at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/8C this Sunday, December 16. And if her amazing performance at Live in the Vineyard is any indication, the “Picking Up The Pieces” star is about to make an amazing statement in the U.S. Her latest album, Fall To Grace, was released stateside on December 4, and VH1 DIVAS is the perfect platform to introduce to such a theatrical and emotional performer to this side of the pond.
I can only imagine what she’ll wear! A few years ago, the singer-songwriter straight up worked an animal carcass on a necklace. Can we hope for something even more outlandish on the Divas red carpet? Find out Sunday, December 16, at 9PM/8C – a red carpet live stream kicks everything off at 8PM. Read more…
Can you keep a secret? We can’t either! That’s why as soon as we heard, we had to share: Kelly Rowland and Keri Hilson are joining Adam Lambert on theVH1 Divas stage to pay homage to late, great – and newly minted 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee – Donna Summer. First Adam’s Madonna news, now this? I love to love this lineup!
Full set list after the jump.
VH1 Divas host Adam Lambert spilled some major beans in the office today when pumped for info about the event! Wearing remnants of a Movember ‘stache and some serious wrist candy, Adam let slip that he was “allegedly” chosen by Madonna‘s camp to cover one of her songs for the show. Yup, just like a prayer, Adam’s voice will be taking us there next Sunday.
The “proud Madonna fan” stopped short of revealing which Madge hit he’ll perform, but Adam did give us the low-down on what tackling a track by that iconic diva means to him. Which Madonna song do you think he’ll glam rock the best? Tell us in the comments, and watch December 16 at 9PM ET/8C to see the performance along with the rest of Divas lineup.

Ciara is bringing Michael Jackson to VH1 Divas! No, not hologram MJ. A little birdie told us that on Sunday, December 16 at 9PM ET/8C CiCi will be using one of his classics to kick off her “Got Me Good” set.
Though, she’s not the first to draw inspiration from the King of Pop, we’ve seen her perform tributes to his work in concerts over the years, work the red carpet like Mike and peeped his dance moves in some of her own gravity-defying choreography (does the woman have a spine?!). So, if any Diva can “Work” his presence on stage, it’s Ciara. We don’t yet know which minute-long snippet I’ll be screaming, “That’s my jam!” to in six days, but here are a few theories:
Which MJ song do you want to see Ciara to use in her Divas performance? Ciara MJ tribute footage after the jump.
Happy Hanukkah to everyone celebrating the eight-day Festival of Lights starting tomorrow! We’re all about any holiday that involves gift exchanges and food, so we’re facing off Drake and Adam Lambert – two pop stars who, practicing or not, have a Jewish heritage. Who’s video would you bet your dreidel stash on to win this battle: “HYFR” or “Whataya Want From Me?” Read our case for each if you can’t decide. Vote after the jump while we our stuff our faces with latkes. Mmmm…latkes.
Vote Team Glambert or Team Drizzy.
Ten days left until VH1 Divas airs live on Sunday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET/8C. And 11 more performers and presenters have just signed on for what’s shaping up to be one hell of a party at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium. Not only are Natasha Bedingfield, Bootsy Collins, Iggy Azalea, and past Divas alumna Keri Hilson and Ledisi adding to the set list of our current all-star roster, but Brandy, La La Anthony, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Stacey Keibler, NeNe Leakes and Kelly Osbourne will be making appearances throughout the night!
I can’t wait! Can we hope for a Natasha/Bootsy duet? Will Jenna will bring her “Sexiest Man Alive” hubby along? Will Kelly will diss the red carpet fashion? Of course, anything NeNe says is a ready-made tweet. Whatever happens, you’ll get the news here first. Don’t forget you can head over to Ticketmaster to purchase tickets to VH1 Divas if you want to have your world rocked in person. Check out the press release that just dropped into our sequined laps for more info.

It’s the last day of no-shave November. Despite the good cause the tradition is for, some of us are glad it’s over. Face it, guys, facial hair does not look good on all of you (ahem, Jay Cutler). But, when done right, it can be epic like the Titans of nose ticklers facing off this week: Queen‘s Freddie Mercury vs. Hall & Oates‘ John Oats. Can’t decide who has the better crumb catcher? Check out our thoughts on both while we get the shaving cream ready.
Vote for Freddie Mercury’s chevron-style ‘stache or John Oates’ broomstache after the jump.

We’re in Thanksgiving recovery mode, so it’s time for a special Black Friday Face-Off! You may be nursing a raging feast belly after attempting to induce an L-Tryptophan coma to stave off squirm-worthy questions about “marrying that nice boy you’re living with” (rinse down turkey with wine and repeat). Or you just said no to traditional T-Day and are recovering from the hangover that accompanies watching ThanksKilling with friends and stuffing your face (more bacon, less familial judgment). Fall Out Boy‘s “Thnks fr th Mmrs” and Dido‘s “Thank You” respectively fit either scenario. Whose video reflects your Black Friday mood best?
You vote after the jump while we hunt down the Advil.
While downing my fifth helping of mac and cheese with my sixth glass of wine, I realized how much I’m loving pop music this year. It could be too much turkey and carbs making me nostalgic, but despite many personal disappointments in 2012 – why, Amy Poehler and Will Arnette? why?! – the music scene has been steadily rocking my existence the past 11 months. All credit goes to YouTube and its community of awesome for constantly breathing new life into even the most overplayed hits by celebrating or ridiculing them just when I get bored. Give thanks with me to Google’s greatest acquisition by checking out my top three favorite, time-sucking viral music clips, covers and parodies. You’re welcome!
