After a brief cameo in the star-packed opening monologue, Miley Cyrus had her chance to shine with a show-stopping solo spot during the Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special. Instead of the usual provocative antics that we’ve come to expect from the 22-year-old, she kept her massive pipes front and center to belt out a killer version of Paul Simon‘s classic “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover.” It’s hard enough to deliver the goods on live television, but it couldn’t have been easy knowing that Paul himself was sitting in the studio audience!

Paul McCartney was just one of the many megastars on hand to pay tribute to Saturday Night Live during its 40th anniversary television special. But the music legend was the first to perform a solo musical spot, delivering a raw but passionate rendition of “Maybe I’m Amazed.”
Nicki Minaj’s third studio album The Pinkprint is considered by many her most emotional and personal project to date. To further promote the album, she flexes her acting chops in a new 16 minute short film called The Pinkprint. Created and starring Nicki, the film is divided into three parts: “The Crying Game,” “I Lied” and “Grand Piano,” each a song off of the The Pinkprint album. Co-starring Will Monfret and Boris Kodjoe, emotions run high throughout the video as Nicki deals with heartbreak, insecurities, and a bad breakup.
The Art Basel festival celebrates some of the most cutting edge work in art, design, and performance— so it kind of makes sense that Miley Cyrus showed up with the butt that made twerking a global phenomenon. Serving as a guest singer last night at Art Basel’s Miami Beach show, Miley made sure to Instagram her booty and boob-filled wardrobe topped off with a super sparkly wig.

One of the loudest, hardest-rocking and most iconic bands in the biz is back and ready to rock! The Who’s Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend are gearing up for a 36-date North American tour, during which they’ll perform their iconic 1973 double album Quadrophenia in its entirety. And, of course, they’ll also play their other classic hits, and we want to make sure that YOU are there when it happens.
There are a few important factors that make hard rock and heavy metal music one of THE best genres in music:
1. Musicians who can head bang and hold a chord
2. The fans (that’s a no-brainer)
3. Facial Hair
I know you probably think we are crazy for even saying that, but can you imagine Ozzy Osbourne with a mustache like Tom Selleck? Zakk Wylde with a unibrow? Or maybe even KISS with ZZ Top beards? Strange right? (We can only imagine how long it would take to get the paint out.)
Last week on That Metal Show, we were joined by Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) and John 5 who brought nothing less than amazing riffs for the second week in a row as our guest musician. We also paid homage to the rockers with the best facial hair and counted down our TMS Top 5 Facial Hair in Rock with help from heavy metal rocker Marilyn Manson. Here’s our TMS Top 5 list of artists with the Best Facial Hair in Rock:
