The Soul Train Awards 2013 aired on BET last night. The program was hosted by Anthony Anderson and honored all that is good and golden in the land of soul and R&B. Not so good and golden? HAIM made their Saturday Night Live debut last night and won the crowd at Studio 8H over with killer performances of “The Wire” and “Don’t Save Me.” Oh, and they also popped up in a 1980s music-themed sketch where host Josh Hutcherson lip synched along with Outfield and HAIM rocked out with a keytar.

Mariah Carey should be having a fantastic week. After all, she’s just dropped her new single, “The Art of Letting Go.” Unfortunately, the music legend is referring to herself as a “diva in distress.” The pop singer sounded off today on Facebook about how a new sound engineer made a massive error and loaded the wrong version of her new single for fans. And this drama is coming just days after she went after American Idol (and presumably Nicki Minaj) on a radio show!
