T.I.’s Going To Be The Best Trouble Man There Is

T.I. On What To Expect From His Album It’s mid morning and the self-proclaimed King of the South is in the hallway of the VH1 offices sans shoes. In his socks T.I. rakes through a wardrobe rack in search of the perfect attire for his Big Morning Buzz Live appearance with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris. Slightly blocking the hallway I mumble a soft, “Excuse me” in order to walk by. “Oh. I’m sorry sweetheart. How are you?” he asks. The epitome of a southern gentleman to the core.

At 31, Clifford “T.I.” Harris has conquered more than rap. Acting, film producer, CEO of his record label Grand Hustle Records, owner of his own clothing line and reality TV star are only a few of the titles he’s held since his 2001 debut I’m Serious. Nearing the release of his eighth album Trouble Man (with no official release date) and T.I.’s excited again. During an interview with 105.1′s Breakfast Club he said he wanted out of the game. But things change. Read more…

Nicki Minaj is a woman of her word when it comes to promises made to her Barbz. The pink wigged Queens rapper made good on holding a free concert for fans after pulling out of Hot 97′s Summer Jam concert. At the Roseland Ballroom in NYC last night Nicki was all smiles as she performed hits like “Roman’s Revenge,” “Did It on Em” and “Pound the Alarm.” For the nearly two hour set she also reached back to her mixtape days with songs from Beam Me Up Scotty. Wardrobe changes and surprises were all part of the Barbie’s production. Foxy Brown, Cam’ron, Drake and Lil Wayne joined her for what was a fun hip-hop family affair. And because her fans mean the world to her, the show was live-streamed online and broadcast on the huge screen in Times Square. Throughout the show she talked to her fans to let them know they were all that really mattered. “I just want my fans here, ’cause I don’t want people to come and observe me,” she yelled to the crowd. “If you didn’t come here to have a good time, go home!” Check out the flicks from Nicki’s Roseland Ballroom concert sponsored by Pepsi. DJ Khaled, Kanye West And Rick Ross Shake Things Up In “I Wish You Would” With A Cameo From Kim Kardashian

Warning: Not only is DJ Khaled, Kanye West and Rick Ross‘ video NSFW, but it may cause a serious headache. Apparently Kanye West didn’t learn from the controversy over the “All of the Lights” video potentially causing seizures. In “I Wish You Would,” which includes a prelude to Kanye’s “Way Too Cold,” things get a little shaky. Literally. Dressed in all black standing in a tunnel the screen shakes the entire time. We weren’t speaking in jest about the possibility of having a headache immediately after watching. Outside of the product placement for Puffy‘s Ciroc, the Hype Williams directed video includes nothing other than the earthquake-like rattling. Oh, and Kim Kardashian makes a brief appearance when her beau raps, “And I’ll admit I fell in love with Kim.” Watch at your own risk. Read more…

lil Kim shouts out drita in new song

From rapping on stage with Lil Kim at the “Return of the Queen” tour to getting shout outs in a Kim verse, Mob WivesDrita D’Avanzo’s street cred extends from the mob life to hip-hop. On Fred The Godson‘s “Tell Em I Go” Kim takes us back the 90s with a similar style resembling the 16 bars she’d delivered in her prime. “If Frank was alive he probably have me on Mob Wives/next to my homegirl Drita/getting f—- up at the bar with some Margaritas,” the Queen Bee raps. Back in May the love fest between Kim and Drita was apparent at the Paradise Theater in the Bronx when Drita surprised everyone and rapped Kim’s whole verse from “It’s All About the Benjamins.” And the crowd went bananas!
