We Love P!nk For Admitting She’s The Drama Queen In Her Marriage

P!nk may dwell in the territory better known as rebellion, but when it comes to her daughter Willow, she gushes so hard there’s not one trace of hardness. To promote The Truth About Love, which is projected to hit the Billboard charts at No.1, P!nk stopped by The View to talk motherhood and marriage. Seeing her baby girl’s image on the flat screen behind her caused P!nk to squirm, “Oh my god she’s so pretty.” Little Willow is already following in her mom’s footsteps with the one eyebrow raised look. “She’s got my attitude and his looks,” said P!nk. “She’s going to take over the world.” And when Willow rolls her eyes for the first time Carey Hart will put P!nk over his knee since she’s obviously to blame. American Idol Kris Allen Says “Things Are Only Gonna Get More Fun” Now That He’s Split With RCA Records

So long, farewell! American Idol season eight winner Kris Allen has parted ways with RCA Records, The Hollywood Reporter confirms. Allen signed to the Sony subsidiary after he beat Adam Lambert in 2009, and soon thereafter released his self-titled debut. With his inspiring first single “Live Live We’re Dying” ahead and an American Idol win behind him, Allen’s first album entered the charts at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 and, all told, moved more than 346,000 copies. Allen’s 2012 followup, Thank You Camellia, saw more moderate succes, debuting at No. 26 and with his cover performances like the one he did of Ellie Gouldings “Lights” or the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows” getting at least as much play as his official single, “The Vision of Love.”

Allen is not the first Idol winner to split with RCA, fellow winners David Cook and Lee DeWyze before him have gone their own. And so Allen isn’t concerned, rather he promises that “things are only gonna get more fun.” In an address to his fans, he said:

I wanted to let everyone now that RCA and I have decided to split ways. I thank them so much for everything that they did for me. There are so many people there that contribute to my becoming the artist that I am and I will miss them all. In saying that, I am really excited about what is ahead. The path has never been clearer to me. I love what I do and I will never stop. So, to my amazing fans, thank you so much for everything so far but things are only gonna get more fun. I promise.

A free artist now, we can’t wait to see what Allen’s next winning move will be.

The Daily Tells Chris Brown ‘You’re Not An Artist, Not Even A Man’ In Harsh Unsolicited Advice Column

Heads rolled and teeth were sucked when Chris Brown‘s neck tattoo resembling a battered woman surfaced last week. The pop star took to his usual platform of choice to tweet about the speculations. “I’m an artist and this is art. Dia de los Muertos.” That succinct explanation didn’t appease the critics or The Daily. Read more…

BRACKET MADNESS: JT, Lil Wayne, Lambert And MJ Face-off In Round Two!

If there is one thing that the four male artists in Round 2 in our latest edition of Bracket Madness have in common, it is that they each swept the floor with their opponent in Round 1. Justin Timberlake said “Bye Bye Bye” to Justin Bieber, getting 81% of the vote to Biebs’s 18%. Kanye West posed a bit more of a challenge for Lil Wayne, but Weezy still won his round with more than half the vote! Daughtry didn’t stand a fighting chance against Adam Lambert, who won with a whopping 77% of the votes. And Oprah’s latest Usher interview did nothing to convince voters, as he lost to Michael Jackson who got 83% of the vote.

Randy Newman’s Back With A New Satirical Song “I’m Dreaming Of A White President”

Satirical songs are Randy Newman‘s forte. Newman set some time aside from his busy film composer schedule to record his latest song “I’m Dreaming” where he weighs in on the presidency and race. “I’m dreaming of a white president,” he croons. “Just like the ones we’ve always had.” President Obama’s election as the first black president has sparked numerous conversations around race and racism. Slate pointed out Newman once said, “There are a lot of people who don’t want a black person in the White House and they want him out,” so the song was inspired by that belief. Read more…
