It might be cold outside but we’re done complaining. Instead, we’re heating things up with our favorite desert set music videos. The desert is about a clichéd a place as any to set a music video, and while the desert was super big in the videos of the 90s, it’s still favored for the cheesier, more epic videos of today (see: Britney Spears‘ “Work Bitch” AND “Not A Girl But Not Yet A Woman”).
A Great Big World have been named as VH1’s You Oughta Know artist for the month of January, making them the first members of the 2014 class of this prestigious family of artists. The latest to join the lineage of piano-pop acts like Coldplay, Keane and The Fray, A Great Big World is made up of Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino, two guys who first met while studying at New York University.
Nicki Minaj is as famous for her ability to spit incredible rhymes as she is for the scandalous, sexy and outrageous outfits she wears. It seems that every time Ms. Minaj walks out the door, takes the stage or snaps a selfie on Instagram, she’s making a shocking fashion statement. And we can’t get enough of her lascivious looks!
One body part that sadly hasn’t got a lot of traction since the later 90s/early 00s is the stomach. So when we were compiling our list of the best abdominals in music, we did a lot of looking back to the era of pube skimming hipster pants and crop tops. When we think of wet t-shirts, we will always think of the godmother of the rained on, white tee — Helen Hunt, bearing not only her tatas but her heart and soul in As Good As It Gets. So while wet t-shirts might be the mythology of spring break style competitions where women are objectified in the most base ways, pop culture has co-opted the iconic symbol in a slightly more refined—but no less sexy!—way.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Backstreet Boys global pop domination. A.J., Brian, Howie D, Kevin and Nick recently stopped by Video Hits One headquarters here in the heart of Times Square to promote their new album, In A World Like This, and our lucky photographer Jen Marigliano got to follow them around for the day.
Stop the presses! All y’all news organizations who already printed your Top 10 Lists for 2013 need to go back and print an addendum, stat, because Beyoncé dropped an album out of the blue (Ivy!) overnight. Sure, a few weeks ago we (lightly) admonished King Bey for failing to release an album in 2013, but as of this morning, we BOW DOWN before King Bey and take everything back. Beyoncé’s self-titled Beyoncé is a game-changer not only because it broke every rule in the book about music marketing, but because it arrived complete with VIDEOS FOR EVERY SONG ON THE ALBUM!

The tour began back in March and took her all across the United States and Canada, from sea to shining sea, raking in some $115 million along the way. The tour is currently south of the equator paying a visit to Taylor’s fans in Australia, and that’s where she’s celebrating her 24th birthday today.
Happy Birthday Nicki Minaj! It’s hard to believe but the hip hop hottie is 31 years old today! In honor of her special day, we’ve assembled 31 of her sexiest selfies from Instagram. One sizzling selfie for each of Ms. Minaj’s 31 amazing years on Earth.
Miley Cyrus gave us a very special holiday surprise last night at the Los Angeles Jingle Ball. The scandalous singer took the Jingle Ball stage wearing a red glitter two-piece leotard to sing “#Getitright” and to twerk up on Santa Claus and a couple of his reindeers. Let’s just say she might have given St. Nick a whole new reason to feel jolly…
