Chelsea Jane Rapper Iggy Azalea

Iggy Azalea better watch out because up-and-coming emcee Chelsea Jane may be coming for her spot as the number one Australian emcee. Back in September 2014, former Flipmode Squad member, Rah Digga nearly broke the internet when she criticized Azalea for not being Hip hop and cited Chelsea Jane as a rapper from down under using her actual accent.

VH1 chatted with Chelsea about her relationship with Rah, the comparisons to Iggy, and how social media has played such an important part in her musical journey. Read more…

Big Sean and Ariana Grande seem to have the kind of relationship that makes us jaded millenials want to give dating another try — or at least go back on Tinder. Brothers Ronald ‘Slim’ Williams, and Bryan ‘Birdman’ Williams are no strangers to legal battles and contract disputes. The founders of Cash Money don’t have the best rep when it comes to properly compensating both artists and producers. Even though he has since rejoined the Cash Money fold, Juvenile was the first artist to leave the label over financial disputes. “Bling Bling” rapper BG soon followed Juvenile’s lead, as well as Mannie Fresh, who handled all of Cash Money’s production. Timbaland played hit after hit last night during his SXSW performance, but the biggest highlight comes from his statement of Aaliyah visiting him in a dream. It happened right after he brought out his rising protege rapper Tink to play a few songs including Aaliyah’s “One in a Million.”

After he stated, “I don’t touch any of my sister’s records. I don’t touch Baby Girl’s records—you know that’s Aaliyah. Then he went on to say, “She spoke to me in my sleep and said, ‘She’s [Tink] the one.’”
