September is nearly over, so we’re preparing to say goodbye to this month’s VH1 Posted artist Demi Lovato?but before we do, we’ve got a few unmissable updates. First up: her installment of Ask Me Anything. “I’m gonna answer as many questions as I can,” she says, and she isn’t kidding?we had to split her answers up into five parts. Eight minutes may not sound like a long time but trust us: for rapid-fire questions on a range of topics, it totally is. Check it out!
We’ve also got the rest of her killer Top 20 Live set for you! We’ve already shared her cover of “How To Love” and her mini-medley of earlier songs (the latter alongside an exclusive set of Music Seen photos), but we haven’t shared any performances of songs from Unbroken?which just debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 (#1 in digital sales). How remiss of us! Above, hear her soulful slow-jam “My Love Is Like A Star,” and be sure to watch the set in full?including, of course, a killer rendition of “Skyscraper” to close out the performance.
It’s been awesome hanging with Demi Lovato, our September Posted artist, so far this month. However, to paraphrase Martin Lawrence in Bad Boys II, “sh*t’s just about to get REAL!”
Next week, Demi Lovato is going to be paying our Times Square offices a visit. She’s going to be performing a special Top 20 Live set for us, but she’s also agreed to stick around afterwards to answer any questions that you, our VH1 Blog readers, have for her! All you Lovatics have to do to participate is to leave a question below in the comments, or send a tweet to @vh1 with the hashtag #askmeanything. We’re going to try and get her to answer a bunch of your questions, so get creative!

It’s been quite a month we’ve gotten to spend with our September Posted artist of the month, Demi Lovato, so far. She’s given us some great scoop on her new album, Unbroken, and took us behind the scenes at Perez Hilton’s birthday party. Currently, she’s in the midst of rehearsals for two big Unbroken preview shows in New York City and Los Angeles, but we’re thankful that she managed to find a few minutes to send us a quick update.
Before we let her share her experiences, we’re excited to announce that next Tuesday, 9/20, Demi will be popping by the VH1 offices here in Times Square. She’s agreed to let you, her fans, “Ask Her Anything,” so fire away! Leave your questions in the comments and she’ll answer as many as she can get to when she gets in next week. Now take it away, Demi!
I am getting sooooo excited for my upcoming shows in NY (9/17) and LA (9/23)!!! ?I have been rehearsing all week and I think everyone is going to love it! I have been having so much fun performing “Skyscraper” on shows like America’s Got Talent and the Do Something Awards, but I am really excited for all my fans to hear some of the other songs on my album. The dance numbers are so awesome!!!
There’s more from Demi, including two exclusive photos from the set of her Unbroken cover shoot, below!
We were thrilled to get a few minutes with Lenny Kravitz when he came through our offices the other day. Mainly we wanted to talk to him about his style and about his music. Which worked out, because he delineated his look in a Head To Toe segment, above, and then answered a number of your questions, which happened to mostly be about his music, in an Ask Me Anything Segment below.
“I put my clothes together this morning,” Kravitz completely fails to convince us, “by what was clean and close by, and not jumbled up in the closet where I can’t see it.” If that were as true as Kravitz suggests, he would look like the poorly-dressed guy who sits at my desk during the work day, and not like Lenny Kravitz. After introductory self-effacement, he tells us about the elements of his look that day, a variation on a rather signature style.
Last month, we brought Jordan Knight into our offices and invited you to Ask Him Anything. By all accounts, that experiment went extremely well, and most of you did not abuse the privilege. (Those of you that did, though –and you know who you are!– have been forgiven.)
Well, great news! We’re doing Ask Me Anything again now, but this time the subject will be the multi-talented musician/model/actor/raconteur Lenny Kravitz, whose new album, Black And White America, comes out on August 30. And, in case you didn’t play this game the first time around, we really mean it when we say you can Ask Lenny Kravitz Anything! Wondering if he kept the dreadlocks he shaved off (and if he can send them to you)? You should ask! Curious as to whether he’s a boxers, briefs or commando kind of guy? You should ask! Have you always been interested in learning how he divvys up his 401(k)? Now’s the time to ask, partner.
So, how do you ask? Well, there?s a few ways. You can leave a comment below, or you can tweet @vh1 with the hashtag #askmeanything. We?ll compile as many questions as we receive BY THIS THURSDAY MORNING (6/30/11) and do our best to get Lenny to answer them all. Remember, you can Ask Lenny Kravitz Anything, so make your questions as crazy or funny as you possible. The only limit is your imagination!
Yesterday we posted the first installment of Jordan Knight‘s Ask Me Anything answers. Today, we’ve got even more answers to your questions for the NKOTBSB singer (whose third solo album just came out on May 31) Above, Knight tells us what superpower he’d want, which Backstreet Boy he’d switch places with, and more. (For the record, we at the VH1 Blog endorse his answer to what three things he can’t live without.)
Thanks for the overwhelming response! We asked as many of your questions as we could. Stay tuned for our next installment of Ask Me Anything!
Two weeks ago, we put out a call for questions for Jordan Knight for our Ask Me Anything feature, and we asked as many of your questions as we could?so many that we had to split the responses into two videos! Above, Knight responds to questions about smooshing, underwear, those amazing 1990 American Music Awards jackets, and more. Stay tuned tomorrow for part two!
In news that ought to set your nostalgic heart racing, Jordan Knight, lead singer of the New Kids On The Block, will be swinging by our Times Square offices next week. As you’ve no doubt heard, the NKOTB and the Backstreet Boys just embarked on a massive, North American tour they’ve dubbed NKOTBSB that will see them play to thousands of screaming fans this summer. Well, during a short break from this tour, Jordan has kindly agreed to take some time next Tuesday, May 31 —the same day that his new solo album, Unfinished, hits stores— to answer questions from submitted by his fans. Even better? He’s agreed to answer ANYTHING!
Yes, that’s right, you can Ask Jordan Knight Anything! Wondering if he eats his PB&J sandwiches with the crusts on or off? You should ask! Curious as to what he wears to sleep? You should ask! Intrigued by his thoughts on whether or not cutting government spending will resuscitate our country’s economy, thereby boosting our Gross Domestic Product? You can (and should) ask!
So, how do you ask? Well, there’s a few ways. You can leave a comment below, or you can tweet @vh1 with the hashtag #askmeanything. We’ll compile as many questions as we receive and do our best on Tuesday to get Jordan to answer them all.
