How many times can one couple announce their divorce? We’ve lost count, but we’re guessing Kimora Lee Simmons and her super-mogul ex-hubby Russell have done it, oh, a gazillion times, including today. We get it! You guys split up! Didn’t this happen in like 2006? Aren’t you both busy getting pregnant and doing yoga with your new (and might we add, much hotter) significant others? Earlier this month, Kimora said, “I’m in the paper every single week ? that I had a fight with my ex-husband, or that I was mad at one of his girlfriends, or that I’m pregnant, or that I demand Fiji water ? Lies upon lies upon lies.”
Oh Kimora. Admit it – you like being in the paper every week. Are we the only ones who suspect that the divorce reports pop back up every time our girl needs some publicity? Or were ya’ll too busy buying her new perfume – which launched last week – to notice?
Kimora Lee Simmons already has two adorable little girls with her ex-husband Russell Simmons, but the starlet is about to add another little one to her crew. The Baby Phat designer and her boyfriend, super-hot actor Djimon Hounsou (who’s been nominated twice for an Oscar for his work in Blood Diamond and In America) are allegedly expecting a child together. We’re not totally sure if Kimora and Russell are officially divorced (they separated in the spring of 2006) but the pair is certainly way over, though they continue to work together amicably (Russ has got himself a hot new piece of arm candy too) . So hats off to Kimora! Fabulousity is even easier to reach when you’re knocked up.
Everyone’s getting into the style game at Fashion Week. No longer content with just sitting front-row and having their pictures taken, select celebrities have started weighing in on their experiences at the show. Witness Rihanna, our favorite umbrella-slinging pop-tart, whose song-of-the-summer and severe new haircut have endeared her to millions across the globe. Rihanna’s currently guest-blogging for Elle.com. So far, it seems, she really enjoyed the Proenza Schouler show:
“Last night, Joe Zee and Robbie Myers [Elle's creative director and editor-in-chief respectively] brought me to the Proenza Schouler show and it was love at first sight. Joe made a quick introduction between Brooke Shields and me (they are old friends — he knows everyone!) and then we took our seats for the show. It was gorgeous — the sequins, the jewel tones — and definitely perfect for wearing on the red carpet.”
She goes on to note that she’s going to play the Gucci party tonight, which means there are going to be some very entertained suits and similarly happy fashion-types in Midtown. She’s a bundle of sunshine, that Rihanna.
In other celeb news, actress Joy Bryant is reportedly writing about the shows for C magazine. Man, the writers’ strike better end soon, or fashion journalists are going to be hard up for work. Seriously.
We’ve caught Josh Duhamel‘s dutchess sitting pretty at a ton of fashion shows here in NYC, where Fashion Week is in full swing. And while her outfits are looking quite cute and there’s not a pee stain to be found, we have to wonder, why is Fergie clad in constant eye-shade, and what is she hiding? That look is really not acceptable for any young starlet – no matter how many Olsens seem to think so. Is she trying to go incognito or are there just a couple of wrinkles gracing her face that need a cover? Maybe she’s just doing some undercover promo work for her local Sunglasses Hut. We asked Mary Alice Stephenson, America?s Most Smartest Model host and Harper?s Bazaar contributing fashion editor, to weigh in on Fergie’s latest looks – sunglasses and all. We’ve got her thoughts – and some pics of

Welcome back to our coverage of New York’s Fall Fashion Week where we’re recapping all the craziness in Manhattan surrounding the season’s style shows. Mary Alice Stephenson, America?s Most Smartest Model host and Harper?s Bazaar contributing fashion editor, gives us the lowdown on the hottest designers. In today’s installment, we meet Elise Overland, one of the winners of the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation award, an honor given out to emerging designers. Overland’s known for her rocker-ish taste — she’s made clothes for stars like the Smashing Pumpkins — but her show this time was a tad more sophisticated than it was stage-ready. It had plenty of attitude, though, as did its designer, whose personal style we’ve always thought of as being very Red Sonja meets Clan of the Cave Bear. Overland is striking, and so are her clothes. She attracted some well-known types to celebrate with her, including model/musician Irina Lazareanu, artist Hope Atherton and first daughter Barbara Bush. More after the jump.
It’s New York Fashion Week, and that means that Manhattan’s hosting all kinds of celebrities, models and designers. To present you with the best of the best, we asked America’s Most Smartest Model host and Harper’s Bazaar contributing fashion editor Mary Alice Stephenson to give her take on all the stylish craziness. In today’s installment, we discuss designer Erin Fetherston, whose line is a favorite of such celebrities as Zooey Deschanel (Elf), Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada) and, for some reason, Damon Dash (former Jay-Z business associate). The designer’s show was studded with celebrities, high-profile editors and buyers, and the theme had something to do with black roses — beautiful and oddly upsetting at the same time. More after the jump:
At last night’s Us Weekly Hot Hollywood 2007 party, all the adorable young stars were out putting their best-dressed foot forward – everyone except Hills darling Lauren Conrad. The starlet – who recently launched her own fashion line – looked less like an expert designer and more like she landed in a pile of candy corn and glitter. It’s not that we’re on Team Heidi or anything, but we definitely bat for Team Have a Little Style.

Boo hoo hoo. Gwen Stefani apparently let the tears flow backstage at her most recent fashion show in NYC this week. A source revealed:
“Before Gwen went out on stage at her L.A.M.B. fashion show, she was sobbing uncontrollably backstage. When asked what was wrong, she just said she was so overwhelmed. She talked about how she used to sew with her mother, and now [that] she has a baby, fashion is what matters to her.”
Funny, we were busy crying that day too – over how many stupid celebrities think they can design clothes just because they’re famous. Now that seems a little bit more sob-worthy. [NYDN. Image: Getty]
The celebs came out in full force to the Fashion Rocks Concert last night in NYC, and so did their disastrous outfit choices. Funny how they seem to think it’s okay to honor style without actually having any.
We know what Tyra is thinking in the above photo: “Grrrrrl, I look effing fierce right now. I could write the book on bein’ fierce. Wait – have I already done that? I don’t think so. I’m writing a book then. Fierce.” Really, the only thing fierce about this bow-style is that its wrapped so tightly on her head it’s actually pulling the corners of her mouth up into an almost-smile . She looks like she’s offering up her five-head as a present. It’s a shame, because her outfit is totally bangin’. It’s just that her hair style belongs wrapped around the new car some rich guy just bought his trophy wife and not on her pretty little alien head.
Meanwhile Mischa Barton showed up after accidentally getting tangled in her dog’s chain leash. But she really makes it work!
