It sounds like Foxy’s kinda losing it in prison, and it’s not just because she misses all of her Louis Vuitton bags. Her fellow inmates have been instructed not to look at or speak to the hip hop diva, who apparently is desperate for some human contact. “She’s [alone] all day, every day,” a former inmate said “They’re just keeping her away from everybody.”
Foxy has to take her rec time and meals alone for “security reasons” – to protect her fellow inmates from her Blackberry-throwing ways, probably. Brown has also thrown fits about getting potato chips and washes down meals of ramen noodles with orange soda. Ex-inmates also report that her weave is a total mess, with one saying, “Her hair looks like whoever did it ran. That’s how much the weave is coming apart.” Just like her life. [NYP. Image: Getty]

Foxy Gets Pregnant, Engaged and Arrested
Poor Eve! Not only did she have to withstand public scrutiny following her DUI arrest in April (she calls the ordeal “disgusting”), but she also has to put up with an alcohol monitor around her ankle that she envisioned being the size of a beeper, but is more akin to Bose headphones. According to her, “It’s the most annoying thing.” Awwww! Too bad she didn’t get thrown in jail, because that would have been so much more pleasant. The legal system is just so hard on celebs!
Eve gets to remove her Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor in about a week (she wore it as part of her plea deal), but she had it around long enough to teach her something:
“I definitely learned my lesson. It was a stupid situation, stupid decision. I did something dumb and now I’m paying for it…Don’t drink and drive kids.“
At least she got to complain about it. That’s a sort of retribution, right? [People / Image credit: Getty]

Could animal abuse be the new DUI for celebs? It’s completely horrible and wrong, yet more people seem to be doing it. DMX is the latest star to possibly get nailed for mistreating pit bulls, after 12 pups were removed from his Arizona home in poor condition. Police also removed a large number of weapons from his crib, and a search of his backyard turned up the charred remains of at least one dog.
The rapper’s attorney defended DMX, stating that “He loves and lives for his animals.” But this is not the first time her client’s name has been associated with abusing dogs. In 2002 the Ruff Ryder pleaded guilty to charges of animal cruelty after a 1998 raid of his house turned up thirteen neglected pit bulls. Seeing as this case comes on the same day as football star Michael Vick’s guilty plea in the dogfighting case against him, it kinda makes you wonder – when did hurting animals become the cool thing for these stars to do? So apparently that giant feud between Kanye and Fiddy was fake. Well gee, we spent a lot of time crying over nothing then. All to sell albums? Thanks a lot, guys. Page Six reports that the rappers joined Diddy, T.I., and Jay-Z at the 40/40 Club Wednesday night and palled around over vodka shots. Their boys night out came after the Screamfest ’07 show at Madison Square Garden where the group of guys all performed together onstage. Some feud that was! We’re not buying anyone’s albums on September 11th – so there. [NYP. MTV. Image: Getty]
Forbes released their list of hip-hop’s 20 biggest money-makers, and, not surprisingly, that list is filled with names you know. What you might not know is how these men — these well-dressed, media-savvy, fully diversified men — made their money. The key, it seems, is to have many different business interests. Like music. And clothing. And lining your bed with thousand-dollar bills.
Take No. 1, for instance: Jay-Z. Not only is he a performer and president of Def Jam records, he also owns the 40/40 Club franchise, has a stake in the New Jersey Nets, and earns cash from endorsement deals with Budweiser, Hewlett Packard and General Motors. That’s to say nothing of his girlfriend, Beyonce, who’s not doing too shabby herself. Jay-Z alone banked $34 million last year. That’s pretty amazing.
What’s not-so-amazing is Forbes‘ use of the word “hip-hopreneurs,” which has to be the ugliest phrase we’ve heard since “vlog.” (Is there nothing decenct about modern diction? Sigh.)
