Ed Sheeran Wants To Take You On Tour As VH1′s September Posted Artist

Posted is back again, this time with Ed Sheeran, the young singer-songwriter from England we came to love when he was featured as our You Oughta Know artist last May. And we are excited to get to know even better yet this month, through photos and tweets and stories about his life on the road, as shared exclusively with us by Sheeran himself.

Sheeran has bucked the “doof doof” trend that has swept the music world as late, and instead found international success with his guitar and introspection. Blending heartfelt vocals and folk, and occasional a hip-hop inflected hook or two, he’s ranked a No. 1 album in the UK already and he’s also found time to help write cute British boy band du jour One Direction‘s much anticipated album, as well as with Taylor Swift for her new album — and as we know, Taylor won’t share credits with just anyone. Sheeran is about to embark on a headlining tour of North America, and we eagerly anticipate what he’ll have to show us from his time out! Read more…

Posted: The Fray Give Us Their Final Intimate Blog Post

We’ve loved having The Fray as our VH1 Posted artist for the month of February, especially because of the intimate blog posts they’ve been sharing with us. So far, lead guitarist Dave Welsh has given us a poignant portrayal of travel, a story about watching the Super Bowl, a post about head colds and surprises and an insight into the moments right before they go on stage. The guys even stopped by Big Morning Buzz Live to play their song “Heartbeat,” and now we have the final blog post in what’s been a whirlwind month. This week, Welsh tells us about a rainy Seattle, wrapping up the tour, and the pull of home. Read the full blog post after the jump.

Posted Artist The Fray Give Us A Third Blog Post While Their Drummer Suffers A Cold

The Fray are delighting us here at VH1 as our featured Posted artist for the month of February. Every week they’ve been giving us some pretty juicy material in the form of some very personal blog posts. First, lead guitarist Dave Welsh told us about life on the road, and last week we read about the band’s experience watching the Super Bowl. We were also lucky enough to have the guys stop by Big Morning Buzz Live to give a stripped back performance of their new song “Heartbeat.” This week, thanks again to Dave Welsh, we’ve been treated with yet another candid blog post, and it’s about special drumsticks, dance parties, and head colds. Read it after the jump, along with some behind the scenes photos from the band’s shoot for the “Run For Your Life” video!

Posted: The Fray Play “Heartbeat” On Big Morning Buzz Live And Give Us A Second Intimate Blog Post

VH1′s February Posted artist The Fray stopped by Big Morning Buzz Live today to play their new single “Heartbeat.” After their high energy performance of the song on Letterman, The Fray gave us a stripped back performance of the song, which was just as moving as the inspiring show they put on for Letterman. The guys also took the chance to give us the second installment of their Posted blog, and after the first poetic and intimate entry, this second post by lead guitarist Dave Welsh tells the story of the band’s Super Bowl experience. The Fray Gets Personal VH1′s February Posted Artist

We had a great start to the year of Posted with January’s featured artist, Kina Grannis showing us an amazing time, hanging out with Danny Pudi, taking us backstage at Jimmy Kimmel Live, and making us adorable jelly bean messages. But now that February is here it’s time to wave goodbye to Kina and welcome our new featured artist — The Fray!

Exclusively for Posted, once a week each member of the band will be giving us a blog post, letting us know what’s up! Our first one is an intimate, poignant post about life on the road from lead guitarist, Dave Welsh, from January 31st, after the jump!

Tuned In: VH1 Posted‘s Kina Grannis Is “In Your Arms” On Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The adorable Kina Grannis, VH1′s January Posted artist, performed a beautiful, acoustic version of “In Your Arms” for Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. It’s no secret that we love Kina, and it’s not hard to see why. The young performer is sincere, relatable and perfectly imperfect as she sings with true emotion. Promoting her album Stairwells, Kina took to the stage with the presence and easy charm of a veteran performer, despite her relative newness to the limelight. Her charming smile accompanying the heartfelt vocal made for a convincing performance that has stuck in our minds the same way as the passionate kind of love affair Kina sings about would. We were even lucky enough to go backstage at Jimmy Kimmel with Kina to find out all about her upcoming US and European tours. See our video after the jump!

Exclusive Video: Gavin DeGraw Checks In After His “Little Incident”

It has been fourteen days since Gavin DeGraw was hospitalized after being assaulted by a group of men in New York City’s East Village. VH1′s August Posted artist reached out to us last week to let us know that he was recovering, and as a follow-up, he just sent us this video message from Columbia, Maryland, which was recorded yesterday. DeGraw got back on stage yesterday for the first time since his awful assault, an event that he refers to in this video as “my little incident.” He’s currently on tour with Train and Maroon 5, and it’s great to see him fully recovered and back in high spirits.

POSTED: Hanson Backstage at Dancing with the Stars

This month’s ever-busy VH1 Posted band Hanson just sent us another great set of photos. Unlike the Napa Valley photos they sent us last week, this batch is all business. Take it away, guys:

The last two days were a bit of a whirlwind in HANSON land, consisting of a two-day immersion in the epic Dancing With The Stars TV show. We had a great time being guests on the show two nights in a row and pulled out some old school and new school HANSON, from “MmmBop” To “Give a Little,” and also pulled together some random tidbits from pop culture past ranging from Quiet Riot to Vanilla Ice. We really had a great time, everyone on the show was welcoming, and it made for a great couple days of epic TV (and some serious tassel shaking). Here are a few snapshots from rehearsal and backstage. Enjoy!
