It’s been a busy month, but awards season will finally be winding down after the BRIT Awards air. And maybe it’s just because stars are simply running out of looks to try out, but London’s red carpet tonight certainly had its fair share of fashion faux pas. Celebrities like Cara Delevingne and Marina Diamandis showed up to show us even the brightest stars can’t nail every appearance.
Last night’s Billboard Music Awards took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, land of fanny packs and sequin jumpsuits. In addition to a Michael Jackson hologram and Robin Thicke desperately trying to get his wife back, there were some incredibly poor fashion choices on the red carpet and beyond.
The Grammy Awards are the one night each year that music industry honors its very best talent and also showcases its very worst in fashion. In past years, outrageous fashions have run the gamut from Jennifer Lopez‘s infamous (and infinitely hot) Versace gown, to Nicki Minaj‘s dark red cardinal costume, and Lady Gaga‘s egg. And this year, stars like Cyndi Lauper and Skylar Grey are (unfortunately) continuing the not-so-proud tradition of worst dressed celebrity fashion at the Grammys.
The Country Music Association awards are known their southern edge, but sometimes the celebrity fashion choices go south, too! Some of the biggest country stars in the world turned up on the red carpet in Nashville last night, and while a few totally killed it in the wardrobe department (what’s up, Kellie Pickler), some other famous faces maybe should have left their looks at their stately country manor-home.
The 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards aired last night and, as always, the show was very entertaining (particularly those cyphers!). It’s refreshing to watch an awards show where penguin suit-wearing attendees aren’t uptight and nervous, but some of the people at the show—we’re looking in your general direction, Joseline Hernandez, Bambi, French Montana and others!—look like they might have gotten dressed after getting a bit tipsy on Ace of Spades. Take a spin through our gallery and let us know if you agree if these hip hop superstars need to step it up next time!
