New Kids On The Block, Boyz II Men And 98 Degrees To Star In The Boy Band Tour Of Your Dreams

NKOTB To Tour With 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men

The New Kids on the Block may have lost their most recent tour buddies to the recording studio but it appears they’re still operating under the principle that two (or more) boy bands are better than one. Yes, NKOTB is hitting the road in 2013, and once again they have invited some pals who know what it’s like to have female fans faint in their presence and tattoo their names to their own skin.

Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees will join New Kids on the Block for 28 swoon-worthy nights this summer, akin to those previously confined to our dreams–the kind that usually happen after one two many glasses of red and multiple engagement notifications on Facebook. But this–this!–is why we stick with boy bands through thick and thin: they always come back to us. The group announced the 2013 tour Tuesday morning on The View and is housing all the information you’ll ever need on the subject in a neat and devilishly-named site called The Package. Allow your mind to wander…

MTV Memories: 30 Of The Most Memorable Moments In MTV History

As we near the end of our celebration of MTV’s 30 birthday, we figured it would be apropos to look back at thirty of the moments that defined the channel. Now, we easily could’ve listed 30,000 reasons why we love our MTV, but we’ll just have to wait until MTV’s 30,000th birthday to publish that list. For now, enjoy this cornucopia of memorable reality shows, groundbreaking music videos, hilarious interviews, jaw-dropping moments of violence, and celebrity beef.

30) Kurt Loder Prevents A Full-On Brawl Between Madonna and Courtney Love
The scene: The 1995 Video Music Awards. During a post-show interview with the unflappable Kurt Loder, Madonna gets pelted with a compact thrown by the Queen of Grunge, Courtney Love. (Heroin-fueled) hilarity and awkwardness ensues.

29) “Paint The Mutha Pink”
This memorable promo for a 1984 MTV contest was pegged to the release of John Cougar Mellencamp’s album, Uh Huh, which featured the eighties heartland anthem “Pink Houses.” The grand prize winner received a house in Bloomington, Indiana (Mellencamp’s hometown), which came with a special paint job: Pink.

28) Totally Pauly
Hey buhhh-deeee, don’t go weezin’ all the juice! After landing a gig as a VJ in 1989, Pauly Shore went from being an unknown stand-up to a major motion picture star inside of two years.

Travis and Shanna Keep the Trend Going

Travisshanna071307_2
Big surprise – the stars of MTV’s Meet The Barkers are calling it quits for realsies this time. After shooting their reality – "look at us we’re a normal married couple with kids, tattoos and millions of dollars" – show about wedded bliss, the pair split, reconciled, and have now split again, for good. And good riddance to them! They join a slew of other couples who popped upon MTV together and in love only to find themselves bitten by the "We’re so happy together" reality TV show curse. Think we’re lying? Look who else has felt the black magic:

Nick Lachey Defends His Woman

Nickvanessa_new
Check out this video
of Nick getting p*ssed off at a pesky photographer while at the airport. The paparazzo allegedly said something crude about Vanessa as they walked by, so after escorting his lady friend out of harm’s way, the sensitive singer takes that giant tattooed arm and puts it to good use on the guy’s neck.

I’m all for chivalry, but couldn’t Minnillo have defended herself? We all know she’s got mad skills in the weapons department.

The Less Hot Simpson’s Alone Again

Simpson
Poor little Jessica SimpsonHer movies flop, her sister has sliced
herself into a total hottie
, and now John Mayer wants nothing to do
with her
…again. The hot and cold pair seem to have frozen over for
good, after an attempt at reconciliation on a romantic Mexico getaway
that left Jess in tears.

It’s too bad Simpson doesn’t have a strong man who’ll stick by her
through thick and thin. You know, someone like her ex-husband. Nick moved on a while ago with knife-lover and reformed wild child
Vanessa Minnillo, and sources reveal that he’s standing by his
live-in lady
, fiercely defending her formerly flamboyant ways.

Oh Jess.  Hindsight really is 20-20.  Even with that Lasik surgery.

Check out video here of a smiling Simpson leaving an LA restaurant last night.
