Quick! Hit play before this disappears. The long-awaited Rihanna and Chris Brown duet has leaked its way onto YouTube and with confirming previous evidence, that it is indeed good. Playing off Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel”, the two extract the hook “Ain’t nobody’s business but mine and my baby’s”, wrapping it around an infectious dance beat. Unlike “The Way You Make Me Feel”, however, these two are way past the wooing stage. Chris and Rihanna take turns spitting love odes for each other, even offering ”Let’s make out in this Lexus” — an uncomfortable phrasing considering the very real life situation the two were in that took place in the front seat of Chris’ car in 2009.
History aside, the song speaks for itself and it’s a good one. Check it out before it possibly gets whisked off the web til next week.
The Game‘s Jesus piece has a Jesus piece. Seriously, folks. Not everyone is happy with the cover art for his upcoming fifth studio album Jesus Piece, but his peers seem incredibly comfortable with the project judging by the gaggle of rappers, singers and comedians he has courted for guest appearances. Well, no one can accuse Game of fear of being out shined on his own album. When Game (entourage in tow) stopped by the VH1 offices, we thought it’d be fun to find out if he could rattle off all the features off the top of his head. Get comfortable because this may take a minute. Read more…
You may have caught glimpse of — or lingered over, because who could blame you? — Rihanna‘s sexy GQ “Men of the Year (And One Hot Woman)” cover that hit the web over the weekend and figured she had already bared all. But the accompanying story is now up, and the boundary-less star has more yet to show and tell, about the bottle brawl and her songwriting, her Caribbean culture and of course her love life. Rihanna and the writer enjoy a night out on the town that includes a papparazzi-flash lit dinner, an impromptu song-writing sesh in her hotel room and a dance-floor reunion with none other than Chris Brown.
Rihanna has 62 million Facebook fans–a smudge more than the number of Americans who voted in the recent election, according to Andy Cohen. That’s also more than any other artist, even Eminem who once held the top spot. With the release of Unapologetic creeping around the corner, Rihanna is on a schedule of non-stop promos. Yesterday she talked with Bravo’s Andy Cohen for a 25 minute live FB chat; and Riri’s Navy was in the audience live and ratchet. Read more…
Rihanna‘s new video for “Diamonds” just dropped a few minutes ago and it seems as if the world has one burning question. No, it’s not whether or not you can get high from smoking diamonds, but rather this: Is that Chris Brown‘s tattooed arm making a cameo? What follows is special VH1 Tuner investigation!
Last night, Chris Brown wore what must be the year’s most mistaken Halloween costume out trick-or-treating, earning himself near-unanimous disgust from across the internet. Headscarves on, beards “grown” long and guns held up and a blazin’ over their heads, Breezy and friends dressed to match as terrorists, posting the above picture to Instagram with a caption that read, “Ain’t nobody F—ing wit my clique!!!!#ohb.” No matter how you cut it, the costume bares little resemblance to “a sugar skull,” and was not likely inspired by some “MAC cosmetic design he saw;” rather, it’s culturally insensitive and boasting of violence, something a guy his history should be weary of. And that’s all to say nothing of the fact that he wore the “terrorizing” costume to Rihanna‘s party. Really, was CVS all out of Honey Boo Boo costumes by the time you got there? Read more…
Today is Aubrey Graham’s birthday, and as the talented singing-rapper completes his 26th year of life, he’s smooth-talked his way into the hearts and minds of millions of fans (not to mention his fellow celebrity friends). Likely receiving countless gifts from friends, strangers, and business associates, Drake surely can’t keep each and every token, no matter how personal some may be. And that’s exactly why we decided to raid his garbage.
Dumpster diving is the classiest of adventures, especially when the trash you’re sifting through belongs to Toronto’s golden boy. Invasion of privacy, maybe, but like we’re taught on various reality shows, what’s discarded onto public property is considered free for the taking. Below are our findings: the front covers and inside messages of birthday cards from Drake’s grandmother, Rick Ross, the OVO fam, his Rabbi, Rihanna, the Young Money crew, and Chris Brown are all revealed.
