It’s really difficult for a country music layperson like myself to keep track of all the different awards shows the genre supports. In addition to being featured on cross-genre shows like the Grammys and the Billboard Music Awards, country artists are seemingly feted on a monthly basis by the Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association, and the American Country Awards. We’re never quite sure who is winning what where, but we definitely paid attention to last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards, which featured another amazing performance by Kelly Clarkson.
