#ONREPEAT: We’ve Been Up All Night Spinning Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”

It is not out of the realm of possibility to think that the release of Daft Punk‘s upcoming LP, Random Access Memories, will be one of the year’s highest selling releases. The band did not, as rumored, make an appearance at Coachella this weekend, but that did not stop them from being the most talked about musical act in the entire world. A one-minute teaser commercial featuring an excerpt of “Get Lucky,” the album’s first single, was released during Saturday Night Live and went on to trend worldwide on Twitter for nearly 48 hours.

While the late legend Aaliyah‘s brother says there’s no “official” album on the way, producer Jeffey “J. Dub” Walker Tweeted, “Just got great news today; the smash unreleased song called ‘Steady Ground’ I produced on #Aaliyah is gonna be on her upcoming album:)”. Neon Rulez & Justice’s New Video Proves It

There’s been a whole lot of neon in pop culture lately. First, Kanye West collaborated with Daft Punk on “Stronger,” made a video that combined the look of Akira with the narrative of Guns N’ Roses’ “Estranged,” and then showed up to the Grammys wearing a jacket that was literally so flashy it was designed to light up. Then Rihanna – who will appear on Kanye’s Glow in the Dark Tour — played the Brit Awards fronting new-rave darlings the Klaxons. Now comes French DJ duo Justice‘s new video (for “DVNO,” above). It’s the best video we’ve seen since the last time Justice released a video (for “D.A.N.C.E.”). Enjoy the outer-spaciness, kids. After the jump, watch Rihanna playing “Umbrella” at a rave that looks like it was thrown by wayward cast members from Tron.
