This year’s Philly 4th of July Jam was absolutely amazing! Host Marlon Wayans kicked of the star studded event by introducing performers Ed Sheeran, Nicki Minaj, Aloe Blacc, The Roots and Jennifer Hudson. Then there was a gorgeous display of fireworks to celebrate the fun-filled night and of course, Independence day!
The greatest Independence Day party is of course the Philly 4th Of July Jam. But when these artists aren’t putting on a fantastic show, they like to celebrate in their own way. And as you would imagine, they go hard. We had exclusive interviews with members of the line up as they told us what their July 4th celebrations typically entail (hint: red, white, blue and awesomeness).

Just when you thought Taylor Swift couldn’t get any craftier, she went and made Ed Sheeran a needlepoint. And not just any needlepoint, but a Drake-themed piece filled with memorable lyrics and Internet mantras.
Welcome back to the Battle of the Summer Jams. After Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande duked it with their respective chart-topping hits, “Fancy” and “Problem,” we’re putting the men to the test. In a battle between two You Oughta Know artists, alumni Ed Sheeran is going up against newcomer Sam Smith. Nearly three years after releasing his debut album, Sheeran is back with his sophomore LP and a new song, “Sing,” raising up the charts. Meanwhile, Smith has been getting tons of love (and hype) in the UK and is now bringing his British swagger to the U.S. His latest single, “Stay With Me,” is getting attention thanks to an assist from Mary J. Blige.
So who will win the YOK battle? That’s up to the fans.
You aren’t the only one who hasn’t stopped listening to Sam Smith over the last few months. And if you reserve space in your love tank for another adorable, uber-talented Englishman, today is your lucky day.
