If you haven’t heard already, Stop/Watch artists have been taking the musical sphere by storm, rocking out our favorite hits in just one minute. Yep, you heard right – ONE MINUTE. This week we had Ingrid Michaelson in the studio to perform her song “Girls Chase Boys” in 60 seconds or less.
Hangout Fest 2014 officially kicks off today, and we’re hitting the ground running with some stellar A-list acts of every flavor! But how do you choose between the more than two dozen bands playing? Don’t worry! VH1 has broken it all down for you. Here are the six performances that you simply CANNOT miss today…
Usually, when a concert is touted as “intimate” or “special,” it’s neither of those things, but Ingrid Michaelson‘s concert at the Chapel in Green-Wood Cemetery last night was so special, so intimate and so lovely that even Taylor Swift was compelled to tweet out that it was “magical.” Michaelson charmed a small chapel full of fans with songs from her new album, Lights Out, and played “moldy oldies” like “The Way I Am.” Oh, and we were there.
If you’re looking to inject your day with a dose of pretty we suggest listening to singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson‘s cover of R.E.M.‘s classic “Nightswimming”. Michaelson took the piano-led original and infused it with her own magical vocal on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Layering her voice and putting the various melodies on loop, Michaelson was her own full a Capella band, radiating a cool charm as her mesmerizing voice melted like honey over the dynamic vocal backing track. And it’s not only Michaelson’s a Capella that’s amazing, her album, Human Again, is doing well too, sitting pretty at number one on the iTunes charts.
