The Roots And Jimmy Fallon Turn Miley’s “We Can’t Stop” Into Must Hear TV

Do you wish someone would press “stop” on “We Can’t Stop”? You’re not alone. The lead single off of Miley Cyrus‘ brand new Bangerz LP is undeniably one of the catchiest pop songs of the year, but after hearing it in constant, heavy rotation for the better part of the last four months, our ears have begun feeling like they need a temporary break from this earworm. Enter Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, who teamed up with Miley for an incredible a cappella version of “We Can’t Stop” on last night’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon that breathes brand new life into the track.

Jimmy Fallon Revisits Neil Young With Bruce Springsteen To Cover LMFAO’s “Sexy And I Know It”

You know how much we love Jimmy Fallon’s musical impersonations — and our favorite is definitely his turn as Neil Young to sing Willow Smith‘s “Whip My Hair” with Bruce Springsteen. Obviously, Fallon read our thoughts and answered all our wishes by bringing the Neil Young impersonation back, again with the legendary Springsteen in tow. This time, the pair sang a folksy version of LMFAO‘s “Sexy And I Know It”, and it really gave us a case of the giggles, especially as a straight faced Bruce sang “wiggle, wiggle, wiggle” while very seriously and stiffly wiggling from side to side. We’re hoping that the faux-Neil Young pairing with the real Boss is becoming a “thing,” and that we’ll get to see the two parodying another pop song soon!

Jimmy Fallon’s Top 5 Musical Impressions, From Neil Young To Tebowie

Jimmy Fallon is a vocal chameleon — and he’s got us hooked to his ever changing colors. From the pop-tastic Justin Beiber to the folksy Neil Young to his own incredible inventions like the “Tebowie” mashup, Fallon is a convincing parody artist. Pulling off an array of voices so accurate you’d think it was the real deal, Fallon never ceases to amaze with his daring and precision — like he did last night when he sang about New York Knicks star Jeremy Lin in the guise of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder. Going where no other contemporary comedian so expertly goes, Fallon is who is isn’t, and gives some amazing performances in the meantime. Here are our top five Jimmy Fallon musical impersonations.

Do You Have Tebow Fever? Because The Music World Sure Does!

With the hype around Tim Tebow, quarterback for the Denver Broncos and Most Popular Athlete In America, hitting fever pitch, it seems like the music world has become rather enamoured by the football star too. While rumours are circulating that Katy Perry’s parents are gunning for their pop star daughter to date the football wunderkind, the music tributes are rolling in thick and fast. Jimmy Fallon paid tribute to quarterback with a hilarious parody that mashed together David Bowie and Tebow for the character “Tebowie,” half Ziggy Stardust, half man on the field, but with a guitar instead of a ball. John Parr also took this opportunity in 20-Tebow to honour him with a remake of St. Elmo’s Fire entitled, “Tim Tebow’s Fire.” Given the reverence with which Tebow is being received, we think he should have kept the “St.” part of the title. Just sayin’. You can hear both songs after the jump.

Tuned In: Jimmy Fallon Bieberfies For “(It’s Not My) Baby”

Yesterday, the Twitterverse exploded when Justin Bieber was hit with a paternity suit by a 20-year-old Californian woman. Never mind the issue of statutory rape, we all started chanting “Maury!” as the Bieb-Father scandal overshadowed the hysteria surrounding KardashianGate. Enter Jimmy Fallon, performing as his alter-ego Justin Bieber, parodying JB’s hit “Baby” with what we predict to be an even bigger hit, “(It’s Not My) Baby” on his show, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Busting some awesomely accurate Bieber dance moves, Fallon makes a surprisingly convincing teen idol, and we guarantee you’ll be starting your day with giggles if you click play above…

Tuned In: Justin Timblerlake And Jimmy Fallon Rap An Awesome Medley

Stealing the late night limelight this weekend, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake joined forces in awesomeness on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon for their latest “History Of Rap” medley. Busting moves like they were born to do it, the dynamic duo’s comedic chemistry is hard to deny. And while we’re all hankering for JT to come back with a new album, we’re quite happy to enjoy him in such musically-related comedy roles. Especially when joined with Fallon, and busting out such classics as Coolio‘s “Gangsta’s Paradise” and other crowd pleasers both past and present, including Nicki Minaj‘s “Super Bass” and Sir Mix-A-Lot‘s “Baby Got Back”.

Crosby, Stills, Nash and “Young” Cover Miley on Fallon

Jimmy Fallon reprised his Neil Young impression yesterday for a Late Night with Jimmy Fallon performance of Miley Cyrus‘s “Party in the U.S.A.” “Mr. Young” recruited CSNY bandmates David Crosby and Graham Nash to assist him for what would have been the group’s most inspiring cover since “Woodstock,” if only Stephen Stills had been able to attend.

“Neil Young” previously collaborated with Bruce Springsteen for an acoustic cover of Willow Smith‘s “Whip My Hair.”
