It seems like only yesterday the KONGOS brothers were in our studio telling us why we should be listening to their music, and now they’re killing it at places like Austin City Limits. They grow up so fast! We just want the record to show, we saw them first.

Top 20 Countdown host Jim Shearer was joined by the four brothers that make up the South African alternative rock band KONGOS and today’s chat was all about video vixens. Since Video Vixen month is in full swing, it was only right that Johnny, Jesse, Daniel and Dylan revealed who made it on their list of favorite vixens. From “Wicked Game” Helena Christensen to “Blurred Lines” Emily Ratajkowski, the list of vixens go from hot to hotter. Plus, did someone mention Katy Perry in “Dark Horse”?
With over 100 bands performing at Lollapalooza this weekend, there’s a lot of music to digest at the three-day festival. Everyone from Kings of Leon to Calvin Harris are performing representing a variety of genres from EDM, alt rock, hip-hop and indie pop.
Among the performers on the festival’s eight stages — one being Palladia, marking its debut at Lolla — are a number of VH1 You Oughta Know alums, including Lorde and Foster the People, that have been storming up the charts over the past year. Many are first-time performers and sure to bring a new flavor and sound to the long-running festival.
South African band KONGOS gets more lovable by the day! The group of brothers has charmed us beyond belief as this month’s You Oughta Know artist, and we get an even sweeter taste of the guys’ collective appeal in the clip above.
The four brothers of KONGOS (Danny, Johnny, Dylan and Jesse), may be among the most crush-worthy VH1 You Oughta Know artists, but let’s not forget that these guys know how to ROCK. Just listen to their brand new single, “Sex On The Radio,” for all the proof you need. The guys came all the way from South Africa to rock us in New York City with their unique blend of African rhythms and amp’d up guitars, and we had an expert photo crew on hand to document a day in the life of a world famous group.
VH1’s latest You Oughta Know Artist, Kongos, might be the most crushworthy band we’ve come across, and it’s about to get harder to resist the band’s charms. You can download their latest steamy track, “Sex On The Radio,” right here, right now. Get it while it’s hot!
