Tuned In: Shaggy And Kat DeLuna Shake It To “Dame” On Leno

If there was ever a song to make you wish you were at a beach party in the middle of the summer, sun setting over the ocean and pina colada in hand, dancing until sunrise with your honey, it’s Shaggy‘s “Dame.” Performing last night on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Shaggy was joined on stage by Kat DeLuna who, aside from singing, did some pretty hypnotizing hip shaking. From Shaggy’s latest album Summer Kingston, we’re thinking “Dame” is going to be a dance floor hit — and with Shaggy and Kat’s moves for inspiration, there’s really no excuse not to get low.

Tuned In: Megadeth Play For Jimmy Kimmel’s Halloween Special

Last night, Jimmy Kimmel Live celebrated Halloween the way it was supposed to be celebrated — with grotesque costumes and Megadeth playing on stage. The iconic metal band went all out and got ghoulish in some of the best creepy costumes we’ve seen this year, revising tried and true classics like Frankenstein’s monster, Wolf Man and Count Dracula. The band played two songs, “Public Enemy No. 1″ and “Symphony Of Destruction” to close the epic show, which saw Kimmel (appropriately?) dressed as a monkey.

“Pandora For Music Videos” Launches
Developer Casey Pugh created a Music Video Genome?”essentially Pandora for music videos (or a personalized MTV)”?for fun over the weekend. We suspect that this will irk someone’s copyright lawyer, but who knows? Plenty of other YouTube hacks (YooouuuTuuube, Endless YouTube, YouTube Doubler, TubeDubber) haven’t been shut down. Lloyd, Evanescence Premiere Videos
In addition to Joe Jonas‘s “Just In Love With You,” today saw the premiere of Evanescence‘s slightly supernatural, subway-set “What You Want,” as well as Lloyd‘s “Dedication To My Ex (Miss That),” featuring Wayne Brady as Lil Wayne and a pussycat as Andr? 3000. (Guess we were wrong about it not being a single.)

“MOVES LIKE JAGGER” VIDEO TO FEATURE JAGGER
According to Adam Levine, Mick Jagger himself will appear in the music video for “Moves Like Jagger.” We wrote a treatment, which the band can have free of charge: Jagger teaches the members of Maroon 5 (and Christina Aguilera, of course) the “moves” from his David Bowie duet video “Dancing in the Street.” [Rolling Stone]

NSFW OF THE DAY
Lloyd‘s new album King of Hearts dropped on Tuesday, and he’s already got a video for lead single “Cupid,” but today he premiered a new video for “Naked.” Don’t expect this one to play on television, though: it’s just Kamille Leai, aka Hot Wings from Real Chance of Love, being naked for over five minutes of the 5:22 running time. The camera angles keep the clip mostly PG-13-by-technicality, but we are talking about a video in which she takes a bath, and then takes a shower for good measure (before sexting with Lloyd, who doesn’t even appear in the video). If only this video had premiered a week ago! We could have made a good “teaser” pun. [Rap Radar]

Jim Jones Records Soulful New Single…with Mashup DJ Girl Talk?

If you’re looking for a sneak peek at a new Jim Jones song (or are just nostalgic for his braids), Pitchfork.tv’s Selector has you covered. The most recent episode paired the Love & Hip Hop favorite with mashup DJ Girl Talk in Jones’s Manhattan studio. Girl Talk previewed two beats: the glitchy “Happen,” which the Jones was definitely not feeling, and the 1970s-soul “Believe in Magic,” based on a sample of Honey Cone‘s 1970 number-one hit, “Want Ads.” The Dipset head’s skepticism about the sound soon faded when he started recording a freestyle over it, and he ended up loving it so much that he cleared the sample and recruited Lloyd to sing a featured verse on what now looks to be an upcoming single.

Watch Jim Jones record his freestyle and ad libs below, or check out the whole Selector episode at Pitchfork.tv. And don’t forget to tune in to the Love & Hop Hop reunion Monday, May 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on VH1.

Black: The Robot of Lloyd and Weezy’s Dreams?

black_girls.jpg

The video for Lloyd and Lil Wayne‘s summer jam “Girls Around the World” has debuted, and as she told us last month, Flavor of Love 3‘s Black is all up in it. She moves sensuously as light shines out of her eyes and…uh, that’s about it. But at least she looks hot! Not many girls pull off the laser-beams-from-the-eyes style with such grace. Check the full clip below. [via Idolator]
