Winter is finally over and spring is officially here! The sun is out and temperatures are rising. It’s going to be 80 degrees in New York City today and we couldn’t be happier to see the sunlight after so many cold and dreary months. To celebrate the return of sunlight and sunshine and general good cheer, we’ve put together a playlist of our favorite songs (including tracks from Weezer, Lily Allen, Natasha Bedingfield and Stevie Wonder) that look on the “sunny” side of life.
If you didn’t know who Iggy Azalea was before, you do now after the Aussie MC hit the VH1 Divas stage with Natasha Bedingfield and Bootsy Collins in that gem and fringe bustier for a brilliant cover of “Groove Is In The Heart.” Besides her fire spitting skills, T.I.’s Grand Hustle rookie’s drop-dead gorgeous form was on full display. How does Iggy stay looking so fresh while sweating and grinding on stage? Well, because she’s a sweetheart (and probably pitied my own ragged appearance) the blonde beauty shared some of her makeup secrets. It may not get you a modeling contract like Iggy, but you can at least resemble a diva in under three minutes.
Can’t get enough of Iggy’s look? Check out head-to-toe photos of the outfit Iggy was rocking during her down time at Divas rehearsals below and try your best to keep up with “Boss Lady’s” style. Read more…
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to dance. And it looks like this years’ VH1 Divas theme isn’t just getting to me. All weekend long our performers have been showing us their go-to dance moves, so we put them in a GIF wall (the only appropriate place). Looks like Adam Lambert‘s head-snapping ways are contagious.
Keri Hilson did the hustle, Iggy Azalea did the Macarena, and Jordin Sparks twerks…well, in private, she says. For us she did the salsa while Ledisi did the cabbage patch, Natasha Bedingfield showed us a sexy hip wiggle and Melanie Fiona made up what she calls her “itchy dress dance.” Check them all out below and let’s see if any of these moves make it into the show at 9PM ET/8C.

It wouldn’t be VH1 Divas week without a daily dose of this year’s host Adam Lambert. And guess what our fearless dance party maestro had to say when we told him Natasha Bedingfield, Iggy Azalea and Bootsy Collins are performing Deee-Lite‘s “Groove Is In The Heart” this Sunday? The only appropriate response: “That’s f***ing genius! I love that song!”
If it were up to me, Adam’s opinion about anything would be taken as law, because beneath that carefully coiffed mass of hair lurks a mastermind with perfect eyebrows. That said, we have journalistic integrity, so let’s back up Adam’s endorsement with some stats about the stars singing the middle school dance favorite. Read more…
Ten days left until VH1 Divas airs live on Sunday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET/8C. And 11 more performers and presenters have just signed on for what’s shaping up to be one hell of a party at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium. Not only are Natasha Bedingfield, Bootsy Collins, Iggy Azalea, and past Divas alumna Keri Hilson and Ledisi adding to the set list of our current all-star roster, but Brandy, La La Anthony, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Stacey Keibler, NeNe Leakes and Kelly Osbourne will be making appearances throughout the night!
I can’t wait! Can we hope for a Natasha/Bootsy duet? Will Jenna will bring her “Sexiest Man Alive” hubby along? Will Kelly will diss the red carpet fashion? Of course, anything NeNe says is a ready-made tweet. Whatever happens, you’ll get the news here first. Don’t forget you can head over to Ticketmaster to purchase tickets to VH1 Divas if you want to have your world rocked in person. Check out the press release that just dropped into our sequined laps for more info.

The MGM Grand played host to a plethora of pop stars this weekend for the Clear Channel-sponsored iHeartRadio Festival, two nights of genre-spanning, crowd-pleasing pop music. A mix of veterans and newcomers thrilled the (reportedly very drunk) crowd on both nights. The most successful performers were those who stuck to a setlist of hits, like Jay-Z, who may have performed “On To The Next One” but didn’t take its advice about his old songs, including favorites from The Blueprint and The Black Album alongside newer singles like “Empire State of Mind” (with a guest appearance by earlier performer Alicia Keys). Those whose songs were less well-known by the crowd, like Sublime with Rome, were less well-received.
Perhaps the big surprise of the weekend, according to reports, was Jennifer Lopez, who, in a set that spanned her musical career, proved supremely capable of standing among the pop titans of today (with a Pitbull feature on “On the Floor”). Saturday’s “special guest” Sting also more than pulled his weight, backing Steven Tyler on bass early in the evening, then joining Lady Gaga for performances of “Stand By Me” and his own “King of Pain.”
In part two of our interview with international chart-topper Natasha Bedingfield (see part one here), we spoke to her about how her collaboration with Nicki Minaj, “Last Chance,” came about. Unbeknownst to us, it turns out that if it weren’t for her relationship with Eminem, the track might never have happened! Check out her video interview above –one in which she also charmingly chides Simon Cowell for not picking her to be a judge on X-Factor– for all this and more.
And below, we’ve got Natasha’s humdinger of a performance of her new potential summer jam, “Weightless,” live on the set of Big Morning Buzz Live!
Sean Kingston nearly lost his life after he crashed his jet ski into a bridge over Memorial Day weekend. Thankfully, though, reports have surfaced that confirm that he has made it out of the woods, so much so that Kingston is now reportedly now walking on his own and he’s scheduled to make a full recovery.
Yesterday morning, we spoke with Big Morning Buzz Live guest Natasha Bedingfield after she got done performing and asked her if she had spoken to Kingston, her collaborator on one of the biggest hits of 2007, “Love Like This.” Natasha (who looks positively lovely up close and in person) told us that she hadn’t spoke to him yet, but she did offer up some really kind words about one of the gentle giants of R&B.
We’ll have more from our interview with Natasha Bedingfield tomorrow! Until then, be sure to tune into Big Morning Buzz Live each and every weekday at 9:30 a.m.!

Why wouldn’t you want to get some juicy dirt out of these people?
We’re a nation of consumers. We’re a nation of music lovers. We’re a nation of people who need to pay more attention to our kids’ education. How to address all three points in one fell swoop? Tough question. But those in the Hollywood area have a chance to deal with the above subjects at Save The Music’s “Big Shopping Day” bash on April 26. It’s there that STM, the non-profit org dedicated to keeping music programs alive in public schools, will host an array of clothing designers and purveyors of beauty products. Lots of celeb hosts are usually on the prowl. This year the list stretches from Christina Applegate to Lenny Kravitz to Vanessa and Venus Williams. Participating designers include Alex Woo, Friend of Foe, Lisa Kline, Michael Stars, and Clandestine Industries (yep, the shop run by Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz).
Perhaps the best part: Our girl Natasha Bedingfield will be performing during the day. You’re aware of how seductive she can be, right? I’m sure you are.
