After a highly successful debut last year, the Mixtape Festival will be returning to Hershey, PA on July 26 and 27 this year. The festival, presented by Live Nation and VH1, marks the long-awaited return of TLC, and will also feature performances from the likes of Train, New Kids On The Block, Hanson, and more!
We were lucky enough to spend the weekend at the Napa Valley, CA festival Live In The Vineyard. Of course it wouldn’t be a festival, or Napa, if we didn’t try a little wine while rocking out to acts like Goo Goo Dolls, Tegan and Sara and New Kids On The Block. We didn’t bring back any to share with everyone, but here are five fine wines we tasted that reminded us of artists who also regularly intoxicate us. Read more…
Nothing pairs better with wine than music in our opinion – well, a little food to stuff our face holes doesn’t hurt either. Live In The Vineyard had the best of all three last weekend in Napa, CA. New Kids On The Block popped their acoustic show cherry, Jim Shearer plotted to “kidnap” Tegan & Sara and newcomer Ginny Blackmore sang a beautiful cover of Rihanna’s ”Stay” in a cave. Read more…
“Here’s your tagline, we’re drunk!” New Kids On The Block‘s Joey McIntyre ad-libbed toward the end of the group’s classic “Hangin’ Tough.” Why? Because amazing things happened when NKOTB performed their first ever acoustic set at Live In The Vineyard last weekend.

Last night, classic Boston boy band New Kids On The Block stormed the stage in New York City–and halfway through the set, Jonathan Knight walked off. Billboard reported that fans pleaded and screamed for his return, but to no avail. Later, Knight tweeted, “I’m sorry……” . In the past Knight has spoken openly about his struggles with crippling anxiety, and during last night’s set he seemed rattled, out of synch and at one point, was distracted by a cell phone call on stage.

What better way to kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend than pitting two quintessential Bostonian performers head-to-head in Friday Face-Off? That’s right, booze nothing, which is why it’s Wahlberg vs. Wahlberg as you vote to decide if Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch‘s “Good Vibrations” or New Kids On The Block‘s “Step By Step” makes being Irish cooler. It makes our brains hurt to think that the debut New Kids On The Block record came out almost 27 years ago (!!!), but it’s very gratifying to see Danny, Donnie, Joey, Jon and Jordan still churning out hits after all these years. VH1 was able to score this exclusive footage from the set of their upcoming video for “Remix (I Like The),” the first single off the band’s latest album, 10 (due to be released on April 2), which we’d like to exclusively share with you, the Blockheads! Watch it above! Read more…
The New Kids on the Block may have lost their most recent tour buddies to the recording studio but it appears they’re still operating under the principle that two (or more) boy bands are better than one. Yes, NKOTB is hitting the road in 2013, and once again they have invited some pals who know what it’s like to have female fans faint in their presence and tattoo their names to their own skin.
Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees will join New Kids on the Block for 28 swoon-worthy nights this summer, akin to those previously confined to our dreams–the kind that usually happen after one two many glasses of red and multiple engagement notifications on Facebook. But this–this!–is why we stick with boy bands through thick and thin: they always come back to us. The group announced the 2013 tour Tuesday morning on The View and is housing all the information you’ll ever need on the subject in a neat and devilishly-named site called The Package. Allow your mind to wander…
