Justin Timberlake‘s The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 is in stores now and if you buy the deluxe edition of the album, you can get two more JT tracks, “Blindness” and “Electric Lady.” Both songs are great, but one of them shares a name with Janelle Monáe‘s new double album, The Electric Lady. Monae’s album also features a song called “Electric Lady” and the coincidence has us asking a lot of questions.
Is the lady actually made of electricity? Wouldn’t being in love with a being made of electricity be dangerous? What does this lady have to do with Russian synthpop? WHO IS THIS ELECTRIC LADY?
After carefully analyzing both tracks we think we know who she is…and we think she’s the same person!
Justin Timberlake is having a big week. Not only did he release his second studio album of the year (The 20/20 Experience part 2) but he has a new thriller with Ben Affleck debuting on Friday. Runner, Runner represents his return to theaters following his role in the overlooked Trouble With The Curve. The fact that he has two diverse projects coming out only reinforces that fact that Timberlake has had quite a varied career (and personal life). With that, here’s your JT guide covering everything from ‘A to Z.’ Read more…
After nearly seven years of doing anything but music, Justin Timberlake‘s second album of the year is currently out and available for your listening pleasure. Like its predecessor, The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2 is produced in full by old friend and frequent partner, Timbaland, the man responsible for helping to bring sexy back and convincing us that a boy band past and successful solo artistry are not mutually exclusive.
If you’re asking yourself, “Hey, didn’t Justin Timberlake already release an album earlier this year?”, the answer is yes, yes he did. The 20/20 Experience came out in March and, thanks to pent-up demand for new Timbertunes, has sold 2.279MM copies, making it the best-selling LP of the year so far. Apparently, our pal JT abides by the ole “Strike while the iron is hot” philosophy, which is why you see that the The 20/20 Experience: Part II was just released yesterday. Which got us thinking: How have OTHER sequel albums released this century performed?
Remember when Justin Timberlake disappeared from music for, like, five years? Well, this year, he completely flipped the script; his presence is now inescapable. He released The 20/20 Experience: Pt. 1 in March, went on tour with Jay Z in July, reunited with *NSYNC at the VMAs in August, and is set to drop The 20/20 Experience: Pt. 2 next week. Oh, and did we mention that he went and covered an old Jacksons track for the BBC yesterday?
Rock ‘n’ roll is built on uncontrolled rebellion, passion, and spontaneity. So in other words, it’s not really made for the confines of live television. And that’s what makes it so great when bands perform live on the small screen…you never know WHAT kind of madness might happen! Check out the 10 most outrageous live TV performances in rock history.
We know celebrities like to party, but these guys take drinking to a whole different level. Their own level. That’s right: Fergie, Justin Timberlake, Lil Jon and Pharrell Williams are just four of the many musicians who’ve taken liquor and wine into their own hands and launched their own products. So get into the spirit of things (literally) and check out our gallery of 15 Musicians With Their Own Alcohol Brands.
