Christmas is almost here and shortly after comes New Year’s so there’s no better time to look back at the year’s music releases in hopes of finding some stocking stuffers for your holiday season. 2013 was a banner year for hard rock and heavy metal with such legends as Black Sabbath, Motorhead and Voivod releasing great new records, strong showings from newer bands like Scorpion Child, The Winery Dogs and Noctum and tons of great releases in the underground metal community as well.
