How did Kid Cudi find an “uncle” in crooner Michael Bolton? Why is Noel Gallagher saying that there’s another David Bowie album in the works? And is Katy Perry ditching her old producing team on her new album?
Daddy Time: Wiz Khalifa And Amber Rose Are In Labor [UPDATED]
This slightly creepy photo of Pittsburgh’s Native Son is not an outtake from a music video or an early Halloween costume idea: Wiz Khalifa is about to be a dad! After what feels like way more than three trimesters–and we’re speaking for ourselves; we can only imagine how mom-to-be is doing–Wiz and his fiance Amber Rose are currently in labor with their first child. Aren’t you happy social media exists? Drop everything and get some ice chips.
Another Reason To Love Florence Welch: She Owns A$AP Rocky’s “I Come Apart”
There’s excitement about the Harlem kid who unapologetically wears plaits and pushes fashion boundaries by fearlessly rocking a skirt. Almost a full month before A$AP Rocky‘s long awaited LongLiveASAP his full album leaked to his disappointment. It’s expected for an album to leak a week prior to release, but a full month is a devastating blow to a new artist. When your entire LP leaks individual songs will soon follow. “I Come Apart,” a bonus track featuring Florence Welch of Florence & The Machine hit the ‘net today showcasing one of the many experimental sounds he toys with.
He opens sounding like a younger Kanye. “I thought you said you’d never leave.” With little bass A$AP opts for a calm flow. By his final verse he’s gone from sounding like Yeezy to Wiz Khalifa. Florence’s voice is the song’s glory. Instinctively you hone in on the chorus she sings. A$AP takes chances. It has been one of his greatest assets. You’re unable to put A$AP in any type of box. He knows that and lives by it in his music.

Wiz Khalifa Performs “Remember You” On Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Weeknd Was M.I.A.
Earlier this week Wiz Khalifa held his smoked out listening session in NYC for his sophomore album O.N.I.F.C. (Only N*gga In First Class) dropping December 4. It was an extravaganza of the largest blunts you’ve ever seen along with three bikini-clad women painted in animal print. There was music, too, including a video to “The Bluff” featuring Cam’ron. Where have you been, Cam? It’s been a minute. Read more…
Wiz Khalifa Is Solo In “Tweak Is Heavy”
Wiz Khalifa‘s in the office. Solo. But he isn’t getting any work done. The visuals for “The Tweak Is Heavy” from his Cabin Fever 2 mixtape is pretty minimalist. It looks like Wiz in the basement of a cold building. There’s a phone and laptop on the bare desk, but those are merely props since they aren’t being used. Instead he partakes in the luxuries of champagne and cigar smoking. And peep the no shirt under the jacket steez. What’s that really about? Read more…
Make Wiz Khalifa and The Weeknd “Remember You” Or Else Be Forgotten
Wiz Khalifa brings the high energy party vibe to a track whereas The Weeknd‘s Abel Tesfaye offers breathy R&B. For Wiz’s “Remember You” from the pushed back O.N.I.F.C. (set to release December 4) the two collaborated for a mix between a sultry slow jam and smooth rap offerings focused on the good life. Against the deep bass, distant booms and scratches, Abel’s vocals are steady–not low, not quite high–as he pleads for said woman to make him remember her. Read more…
Chris Brown, Big Sean And Wiz Khalifa Are High As A Kite In “Till I Die”
It looks like 04/20 with all the smoke in the air in Chris Brown’s self-directed video “Till I Die.” The wacky animation and overall playful vibe between Brown, Wiz Khalifa and Big Sean screams fun times. Breezy raps and sings, but with his flow we think he’s seriously going to make some rappers step up their game. We adore the rapping Breezy! Decked out with a grill (what rapper doesn’t own a set of gold teeth?) and gold necklaces, Brown is overly hype. When he meets up with his boys it goes down straight Bob Marley style.
Big Sean and all of his braggadocio adds the smooth, ‘look at me I’m the ish’ element. His confidence level is on a million as he rocks an open blazer sans a shirt. Being the proud weedhead that he is, Wiz Khalifa spits his verse in a smoked out house party where Redman and Method Man are smoking and then pass Wiz a trophy shaped bong. And what would a song about smoking “till I die” be without a cameo from Snoop Dogg? Well, it wouldn’t be proper smoker’s anthem.
Chris Brown is obnoxious in the video with the gold teeth and flashy jewelry. He’s amped to the 10th degree, but his rhymes tickle our fancy. Big Sean, Wiz and Breezy make for one dope trio as they all balance one another out. Wiz is the laid back chill one, Big Sean is boastful and Chris Brown is just rowdy. Brown gets props for creating a video that fits perfectly with the song, and all we want to know is: what’s up with a Chris Brown, Wiz and Big Sean collabo album?
Electronic Dance Music Takes Over MTV Movie Awards With Performances By Martin Solveig, The Black Keys, Wiz Khalifa And fun.
The MTV Movie Awards’ eclectic mix of performers every year is always a pleasant surprise. This Sunday the annual award show has pegged Martin Solveig to DJ the music for the evening. Expect to hear some mashed up remixes of iconic movies like Jaws, Pulp Fiction and Star Wars. DJ’ing won’t be the French producers only duty of the evening as he’ll also be joining Black Keys, fun. and Wiz Khalifa as performers. Hopefully his hit “Hello” will find its way into the list of songs (or performances!) that will make you want to boogie. Read more…
Summer Jam Vs. Rock The Bells: Who Runs It? (POLL)

Summer is fast approaching and we’re ready to bring on the BBQs, rooftop parties and most of all the concerts. What’s summer without indulging in live performances of the artists you love? Two of the biggest hip-hop concerts this summer, Summer Jam and Rock the Bells, have some acts lined up that are going to be bananas! Not that you’d go wrong attending either, but because they’re as different as night and day, we’ve broken down why one of these concerts rules as the must-see concert of the summer.
1. The headliners tell you everything you need to know about a show.
One of the biggest names in hip-hop, Nicki Minaj, is headlining Summer Jam along with Rick Ross, Waka Flocka and Young Jeezy. As far as mainstream rap, Summer Jam has it covered. With Nicki you’ll get a bit of hip-pop, Waka will make everyone dance and Rick Ross and Jeezy offer the trap anthems to make even the most suburban girl get hype.
Where do we even begin with the headliners for Rock the Bells? Its very big name acts run the gamut of the likes of Nas, Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Missy Elliott & Timbaland and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. It doesn’t get more versatile than Nas, one of hip-hop’s legends, and the fairly newbie Wiz Khalifa rocking the stage at the same festival. And Missy Elliott & Timbaland…together! That’s some epic 90s skeez right there. We’re singing, “Supa dupa fly, supa dupa fly” just thinking about it.

Adam Levine Blows Up Cars (And Looks Real Fine Doing So) In Maroon 5′s New “Payphone” Video
We’re totally swooning over how fine Adam Levine looks in the “Payphone” video featuring Wiz Khalifa. (Admittedly, the repeat button was abused.) It’s all shoot ‘em up bang bang in this hot new vid, which is the lead single off Maroon 5′s upcoming Overexposed album. The story begins at the ending. A scraggly Levine attempts to reach a woman on the payphone. Although this happens first in the video, in the timeline of events this really occurs after he plays superman at the bank to save the woman he loves from robbers. He escapes a hail of gunfire only to find the police outside, and guess who they think is the culprit of the robber? Surprise (not really): Levine.
Shortly after Wiz valet parks his drop top Levine steals the car and take the cops on a high speed chase leaving his lucky woman behind. Hence the “I’m at a payphone, trying to call home” chorus. He eludes the cops and makes it to the desperately needed payphone. “Payphone” is without a doubt action packed — a gun fight, police chase and exploding cars all withing less than five minutes. Is Levine trying to tell us something regarding acting aspirations? We totally envisioned this as a movie. A predictable one, but a movie nonetheless.
