About Daniel Powter

  1. No irony was intended when this Canadian wrote the first single from his self-titled debut. But with AMERICAN IDOL using it as the theme song for departing contestants, "Bad Day" has helped launch Powter's winning streak. Nice, right? Not that this soul-slanted singer is a stranger to success. DP, which showcases his piano-banging skills, became a hit in France when "Bad Day" topped the charts over there.
