10 Celebrities Who Score Major Coins From Their Fashion Hustles

Not all celeb clothing lines are tragic.

When it comes to fashion lines, some celebrities need to just stay in their lanes. (Heidi Montag, anyone?) However, a few A-listers are able to see past their own egos and create apparel us plebeians actually want to spend our hard-earned money on. From Jessica Simpson to Diddy, these 10 celebrities are demolishing the fashion game one cheap moderately-priced stiletto at a time. Happy New York Fashion Week, everyone!

  • 1 Jessica Simpson

The tuna fish maverick launched the Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005, and it has since grown into a billion-dollar empire. (That’s right: $1 billion.) Jessica celebrated hitting this milestone in April by selling 50 percent of JSC, which now includes clothes, handbags, home decor, and fragrances, for an undisclosed (hefty) amount. That buys a lot of chicken. Or fish. (Whatever she wants, really.)

  • 2 Diddy

Diddy launched Sean John in 1999, and everyone from Naomi Campbell to Mariah Carey has endorsed the brand. Business Insider placed its earnings at $250 million in 2012 alone. (You know, pocket change.)

  • 3 Victoria Beckham

The no-smiling fashionista actually has a ton to grin about. Her self-titled fashion label raked in an impressive $95 million in 2011. In 2013, the Daily Mail reported Mrs. David Beckham’s line made up £15.4 million of the couple’s £35.1 million estate. (Ahem, that’s almost half.)

  • 4 Kimora Lee Simmons

The mogul’s three lines—KLS, Kouture by Kimora, and Fabulosity—take in a whopping $800 million per year, according to Business Insider. (And that’s incredible, given the KLS price range is $500-$2,400 per product. People are actually buying this shizz!)

  • 5 Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

Of course these incredibly accomplished queens make our list. Our favorite twins live and breathe fashion, and they have the receipts to prove it—$1 billion worth of ’em, actually. That’s right: Their three labels—Olsenboye, Elizabeth and James, and The Row—now have profits in the 10 digits. And these girls are only 29 years old. You can start crying now.

  • 6 Kanye West

Despite naysayers, Yeezus knows a thing or two about the fashion biz. He nearly sold out his Kanye West x A.P.C. line in 2013. Plus, he launched an apparel series with adidas this year. His numbers are not Olsen twins-level yet, but we have faith. He is going to be our next president, after all.

  • 7 Nicole Richie

This VH1 star knows style, which explains why she catches copious coins for her lines House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate. As of 2012, the lines contributed $3 million to Nicole’s total net worth. Changing the game one necklace at a time, eh?

  • 8 Ivanka Trump

Like father, like daughter—well, kinda. We trust Ivanka doesn’t constantly spew facepalm quotes like the Donald, but she does have his financial sensibility. The New York Times estimated her clothing line took in $250 million in 2013 alone. Beyond impressive. In the (quasi) words of the Donald, she’s (not) fired.

  • 9 Lauren Conrad
Despite her first line not doing so hot, she redeemed herself with LC Lauren Conrad at Kohl’s and Paper Crown, the latter of which launched in August 2011. She also released two additional lines for Kohl’s this past May. With a net worth estimated at $25 million, and solid chunks of that from her apparel endeavors, classy Lauren can officially call herself a style titan. Slay, slay, slay!

  • 10 Jay Z

As if you needed more confirmation Jay Z is king of all things, his clothing line, Rocawear—which includes handbags and belts, among other goodies—takes in a reported $700 million annually. In other words, just enough to keep Blue Ivy happy.
