Boyz II Men, Brandy, Bobby Brown: The Soul Train Awards’ Babyface Tribute Is The Best Of The ’90s

Get ready for your ultimate middle school dance fantasy.

Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds received the 2015 Soul Train Legend Award during tonight’s awards ceremony. The honor was presented by his friend, collaborator, and fellow industry architect L.A. Reid, but that was just the start of the celebration. A 16-minute medley of classic hits followed, featuring the best of the best of the ’90s.

Brandy, Boyz II Men, Bobby Brown, and Babyface himself—seriously, it’s like the playlist from your middle school dance came to life and shared the stage for one unforgettable night. And let’s not forget to shout-out former American Idol Fantasia Barrino, who burned up the stage with a soaring version of “Exhale (Shoop Shoop)” by Whitney Houston and “Superwoman” by Karyn White—both of which were written and produced by the man of the hour.

Watch the unbelievable medley below, and then sob because the ’90s are over.
