Kanye West Spent His Four Minutes at the VMAs Shouting Out Important People

"I see you, Amber."

No one knew what to expect when it was first announced that Kanye West had been given four minutes to do whatever he wanted at the 2016 MTV VMAs. Some thought he would wax presidential. Others hoped for more Taylor Swift receipts. But no one thought he'd do this.

Kanye spent his four VMA minutes name-dropping various celebrities and important humans in his life before premiering the video for "Fade," starring Teyana Taylor. Among those Ye mentioned were Beyoncé, Diddy, Jaden Smith, Kim Kardashian and Anna Wintour—all pretty much to be expected. The moment was priceless and instantly iconic. We'd say this was four minutes well spent. Good work, Kanye, good work.
