If you’ve owned cable at any point from 2004-2010, you know who Lauren Conrad is because the girl was everywhere all the time. She was super busy sitting on Laguna Beach and galavanting through the hills, but somehow she still found the time to add “author” to her lengthy resume. Her first book, LA Candy, was adored, acknowledged or at least seen by every middle and high schooler in America when it first came out in 2009. The book is about a girl, Jane, who moves to LA and suddenly becomes the star of a reality show and the consequential realization that it’s not all that it’s cracked up to be. Sound familiar?
