Christmas is one of the most joyful times of year, but for many reasons, it can sometimes be the most stressful as well. Last minute gift shopping, hectic holiday traveling…it can get oh so overwhelming. So you might as well wind down (or turn up) with these Christmas cocktails that will make extended time with family (and questions about when you’re getting married) a bit more tolerable this year.

1.5 oz. Blade and Bow,
0.5 oz. Banane du Bresil,
0.25 oz. Allspice dram,
1 Dash Black walnut bitters
Directions: Shake all of he ingredients with ice and strain into a rocks glass. Garnish with dried banana chips and sip til’ your heart’s content.
¾ oz. Campari,
¾ oz. Vanilla Syrup,
½ oz. Strawberry Puree*,
¾ oz. Lemon Juice,
1 ½ oz. Cognac,
2 dashes Orange Bitters
Directions: Pile ingredients together in a cocktail tin with ice and give it a good shake. Serve over an ice-filled Collins glass and enjoy with a side of Panettone! *Strawberry Puree: In a blender, add ½ cup of strawberries and 1 tbs water. Blend and then fine strain.
2 oz Campari,
1/2 oz Mezcal,
1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice,
1/4 oz Simple Syrup,
4 oz San Pellegrino Aranciata Amara,
Float of Cynar
Directions: Shake all the ingredients except the San Pellegrino, and strain over fresh ice into a collins glass. Add the San Pellegrino and a float of Cynar. Dress it up with a sprig of mint and an orange slice.
1 part Jägermeister,
1 part 5 Year Old Rum,
1 part Amburana Cachaca,
1 part Heavy Cream,
Pour all ingredients in a shaker. Dry shake (that means without ice) for five seconds. Now add the ice and shake vigorously. Strain in a chilled coupe glass and sprinkle freshly grated nutmeg on top. Voila!
1.5 oz. Crown Royal Vanilla,
1 tsp. fine grain sugar,
2 small cloves,
1.5 oz. boiling water
Directions: Add Crown Royal Vanilla, fine grain sugar, and cloves in old-fashioned glass or mug. Add 1-2 oz. (or more, if desired) boiling water and stir.
2 parts Tres Agaves Reposado Tequila,
1 part blood orange juice,
1/2 part Aperol,
1/2 part cranberry juice,
Champagne, to fill,
Cranberries, to garnish
Directions: Add all the ingredients into a shaking tin and fill with a handful of ice. Shake for 5 seconds and strain into a Collins glass. Top with Champagne and garnish with a few cranberries.
1 ½ parts Ménage à Trois Triple Berry Vodka,
¼ part cinnamon simple syrup,
½ part lemon juice,
¼ part wild berry syrup,
5 parts champagne, to fill
Directions: Add all ingredients over ice. Shake and strain into a champagne flute, top with Champagne.
2 oz. Maker’s 46,
½ part apple brandy,
¼ part cinnamon syrup,
2 dashes baked apple bitters,
1 Cinnamon stick
Directions: Stir the first 4 ingredients in a mixing glass with ice for 10 seconds. Light the end of the cinnamon stick. Fill a rocks glass with the smoke. Pop in a 2-inch ice cube & strain in the mixture.
1.5 oz. Captain Original Spiced Rum,
4 oz. Ginger Ale (or ginger beer if available),
Mint sprig/lime wheel garnish
Directions: Add all ingredients over ice. Shake and strain into rocks glass. Garnish with lime weel.
