18 Celebrity Exes Who Are Actually Friends Post-Breakup

They say that breaking up is hard to do...but maybe not for these celebs.

For some celebrities, breakups are super awkward. There’s the ceremonial deleting of the Instagram posts, unfollowing on social media, ninja-style tactics to stay away from each other during awards season. But for others, the decision to stay friends is super easy. You might have to work together like Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, or kiss on screen all of the time like Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. Or maybe you’re like Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin who are super committed to making a friendship work for their children’s sake.

If you’ve ever been broken up with (or if you’ve been the one doing the breaking up) you’ve probably heard your soon-to-be-ex say, “Can we still be friends?” Sometimes that answer is a resounding, “Nooooooooooo.” If you could, you would hire a choir of gospel singers to harmonize the word, “No.” You would dress up as Randy from American Idol and be like, “It’s a no from me, dawg.” Well, you may not be mature enough to be friends with your ex, but these celebs definitely are.
