Hail to the Beef! The Biggest Celeb Feuds We’ve Seen in 2017

They came, they saw, they beefed in 2017.

There’s something to be said for a quality celebrity feud. Tweets are sent, diss tracks are made, and sometimes, if it’s really bad, ties are cut. This year, celebrity feuds took it to the next level with public disses, families divided, and baby daddies shared. Let’s revisit some of the best feuds to come out of this wild year. Click through the gallery below to see all of the ~*drama*~ that went down.

  • 1 Drake Bell v. Josh Peck

TBH, this was probably one of the more heartbreaking feuds of 2017. It’s all resolved now, but when Josh Peck was married in June, he didn’t invite Drake Bell to his wedding. Drake wasn’t shy about having his feelings hurt and shared, “When you’re not invited to the wedding the message is clear… Message is loud and clear. Ties are officially cut. I’ll miss you brotha.” The brothas attended the MTV VMAs in August and shared a selfie to prove all was well. Thank GOD.

  • 2 Masika v. Alexis Skyy

It’s no secret that these Love & Hip Hop Hollywood ladies do not get along. Their feud began with Alexis Skyy going to LA to find Masika, who shares a baby with Fetty Wap. It turns out there was some overlap in their time with Fetty, who Alexis claims was her man when Masika got pregnant. Nothin’ like good ol’ baby mamma drama to keep us petty.

  • 3 Katy Perry v. Taylor Swift

This year we saw the end (hopefully) of a feud that began all the way back in 2014. Katy went on carpool karaoke and both apologized to and forgave Swift for the drama that started over background dancers and led to Perry releasing, “Swish, Swish” this year. We’re going into 2018 not sure if the beef is truly resolved, but hopeful we won’t have to hear about it again.

  • 4 Kanye v. Jay-Z

Though things really got rough for these two in 2016 after Kanye left his concert after performing only a few songs, the feud continued on into 2017. Jay-Z threw a few shots at Kanye on 4:44, and he also said that “[They’ve] never let this much space go between one of [their] disagreements and [they’ve] had many.” There’s hope, though, that the hatchet will be buried in 2018, according to Hov. We’ll just have to see!

  • 5 Misster Ray v. Zell Swag

The feud that was the talk of the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood reunion, no one is really sure they these two men are feuding. Masika and Misster Ray think it has something to do with Zell wanting fame, but it looks like this one won’t be resolved anytime soon.

  • 6 Remy Ma v. Nicki Minaj

If you thought the beef between these two had expired long ago, you definitely missed something in 2017. In 2016, the waters began to boil over on this feud, with diss tracks being exchanged. In 2017, Minaj dissed Remy Ma on two tracks–“Make Love” and “Swalla,” to with Remy responded with two diss tracks, “Shether” and “Another One.” It went back and forth like this for much of 2017 and though things have certainly died down in this feud, we’re not sure if it’s quite over.

  • 7 Chris Brown v. Soulja Boy

Maybe the first beef of the year came literally four days into 2017. Chris Brown and Soulja Boy got into it on social media after Chris Brown threatened Soulja Boy for liking a photo of Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. It resulted in an almost real-life boxing match, y’all. It didn’t happen, but it was definitely weird AF.

  • 8 Rob Kardashian v. Blac Chyna

In July of 2017, Rob went on an infamous social media tirade against the mother of his child, saying that she was playing him and using him for his money while hooking up with other men. He posted her nudes, hurled allegations of neglect, and then promptly deleted his accounts. Lawsuits continue to fly between these two. This beef is ongoing, but we’re hoping for some kind of peace in 2018, if not only for their daughter, Dream.

  • 9 Migos v. Joe Budden
    Getty Images
It’s no secret that Joe Budden doesn’t like “mumble rappers,” but this year his disdain turned into an all-out feud with the rap group, Migos. At the 2017 BET awards in June, Migos and Joe Budden clashed on the red carpet, but their feud was taken to a new level in December. Migos dropped a song that disses Budden (it calls him a p-ssy…) so safe to say we’re not about to see a reconciliation before 2018.

  • 10 Trump v. the NFL
    Getty Images
Donald Trump really hates kneeling, y’all. When the NFL finally got behind Colin Kaepernicks peaceful protest and began kneeling during the national anthem. This sent Trump into a frenzy. But will we see a reconciliation? I mean, probably not? Have you seen the way the president tweets?

  • 11 The Rock v. Tyrese
    Getty Images
In September, Tyrese Gibson decided to comment on The Rock’s Instagram to express how upset he was that the Fast & Furious 9 movie was going to be delayed for a spinoff for The Rock’s character. From there, this feud just got messier and messier with Tyrese posting more and more about how The Rock was preventing him from providing for his family. It was…a lot. The Rock never commented directly (are you surprised?) so we’ll just have to see if these guys will ever reconcile.

  • 12 Caitlyn Jenner v. The Kardashians
    Getty Images
Caitlyn Jenner released her memoir, The Secrets of My Life in April, and the memoir wasn’t exactly kind to Kris Jenner. Kim Kardashian literally called Caitlyn a liar and added, “If you talk about my dad, I will cut you,” when discussing some of the details of Caitlyn’s book. It looks like all of the Kardashian-Jenner kids have chosen Kris’ side in this one. Sorry, Cait.

While Alexis tries to explain the root of her beef with Masika, Moniece + Hazel almost come to blows.
