With every awards show emerges a celeb that nails their red carpet look from head to toe, thus becoming the style darling of the night (see Rihanna’s annual Met Gala slayage for example). For the 75th Golden Globe Awards, that celeb was Viola Davis. The actress followed the all-black theme of the night in a sleek Brandon Maxwell gown that catapulted her to all of the important best dressed lists (per usual). The dress was lovely, but what truly set off the entire look was her full, regal ‘fro.

Beyond her stunning look, the How To Get Away With Murder star offered some powerful advice to sexual assault and rape victims during a red carpet interview. “There’s no prerequisites to worthiness,” the actress said. “You’re born worthy, and I think that’s a message a lot of women need to hear. The women who are still in silence because of trauma, shame, due to the assault ― they need to understand that it’s not their fault and they’re not dirty.”
Viola Davis: beautiful, woke and nothing short of amazing!
For cycle 24 of America’s Next Top Model, Tyra is looking for a contestant that can do more than rock a red carpet. Check out the judges talking about what they want to see from this batch of girls.
