Young Hollywood Says He Isn't Sorry For the Advice He Gave Amara La Negra and Reacts to Being Dragged By 'Love & Hip Hop' Fans

Producer Young Hollywood never thought his advice to Amara La Negra about "switching up her look" on the premiere of Love & Hip Hop Miami would cause this much controversy, but he's not at all sorry for what he said.

In an Instagram Live rant last night, Hollywood's frustration boiled over after fans of the show came at him from every direction. He says the advice he gave Amara about trading in her fro for an elegant look was merely a reflection of what the music industry expects and not his personal beliefs.

"Amara is a beautiful girl. But it's sad to say that I'm not the highest peak of the totem pole. It's just sad that some industries require certain looks for certain songs, just to appeal to certain markets...Look at me, bro! I couldn't even be racist if I wanted to."

Hollywood continues by saying he finds it hypocritical that viewers who take up for Amara La Negra do so by sending some of the most savage comments you can imagine.

"Look at the comments these people are leaving. That's real hatred. That's real racism, when people start attacking other people and in people's comments speaking negativity and evil. You know how many people wrote me 'I hope you die' or 'I hope your family burns' and when you look at their pages they have families and they look like nice people. That's crazy to me."

In the end, Hollywood says that as a Latino he knows his history, but the powers that be in the music industry are bigger than him.

"It's not me who you should be bashing...it's the CEO of these companies. The CEO's of these major labels. That's who y'all should be coming after. That's the reason I haven't really addressed it, because this sh*t is over my head. It's deeper than rap. Trust me, I'm very well-educated. I know very well where Latinos come from. The only reason we have light skinned Latinos is because their ancestors were raped by the Spaniards. Trust me, I know my history. Don't get it twisted...I'm not stupid or ignorant like that."
